Thank you! I really like that you add the (in slovenian) mentions and such, it really helps understand the moment since I can't tell the languages apart at all yet!
How much are Slovenian and Croatian different? (i can't tell them apart) ofc Bojan is fluent but the rest of the boys could still understand and say a few sentences even though they didn't learn the language on purpose (i guess)
They're kinda like Spanish and Italian I'd say... Slovenians understand Croatian pretty well, while Croatians understand us a little less. But it probably has to do with us going there on holidays basically every summer.
plus it depends which local dialect you speak in croatia (one (“kajkavski”) is closer to slovenian than other two, there are three main dialects in croatian language) and if you are closer to slovenian border, the languages start to merge at some point (i’m writing this as a croatian), bojan knows serbian and serbian and croatian languages are much more similar than croatian and slovenian, so no wonder he can speak croatian😊
np! basically, croatian person can easily speak (without any intentional learning) with someone from serbia and bosna and hercegovina, and vice versa, they are that similar
The interviewer is so funny trying to get an answer from all of them hahah
Thank you!
