the nurgle vs empire match was a 10/10. hadres was scrapping so hard at the end there. also the last game was just ridiculous.
That Toad Dragon absorbed so much ammo and damage as well.
To join in on the tinfoil hat talk about high elf versus wood elf bow range... my best lore/history of War answer would be that the high elves are less mobile, formation moving units that would likely use a long bow closer to the equivalent of the Welsh longbow that made England's armies so formidable. The wood elves, while better pure skill archers, would likely use shorter hunting bows that fire quickly and allow more mobility but have overall lower range.
I could also see high elves more into firing in formation and in arcing volleys with wood elves being more into firing at the "whites of their eyes"... but that's more a flavour thing. Also what Turin said about their overall equipment quality. We know those arrogant high elves love having the best of the best.
Could just be a CA thing... what do I know?
That said, the wood elves archers don't really have that big of an advantage in the forest. Their projectiles have a slight increase in the value that lets projectiles ignore trees after firing, but it's not enough to actually allow them to shoot in the forest, only enough to shoot out of the forest.
It's honestly my biggest gripe with the wood elves. They should get good bonuses to fighting in the woods and not just negate the negatives. Their archers should also be good at actually fighting in the woods and not just to shoot out of them like any other faction.

Man all the tournament streams lately have been full of amazing games. You always make it entertaining regardless, but these close, scrappy games with fun units already makes me look forward to the next one

Not only did Toad Dragons get a cost decrease, but they had a massive turning speed buff. They used to be so unwieldy but now they control decently, and at 9000 mass there's not much that can stop them once they start moving so I hope to see more people using them especially since it takes so much ammo to take them down. It probably tanked more than 2100 gold of shooting that whole game and still blocked the wagons at the end.
Also you can very easily use a Toad Dragon in the Old World if you wanted to, just look up their rules in Monstrous Arcanum and they translate about 1/1. I wouldn't recommend trying to use them as a regular Chaos Dragon because it would be impossible to fit them onto the base. Not hard mind you, but literally impossible, the Toad Dragon is a massive model and you will never manage it.

was late but wanted a tip on a high elf build I had a hard fight against as skaven.

2x phoenix guard

light armor archers

Dragon princes
Eagle claw
just had a rough time fighting it they would not break
the phoenix guards I would remove for something cheaper like rangers, spears or reavers. they are high value and overpowered to fight shaven
@@dEcmircEd that's what I was up against and the phoenix guard and lions of chrace were the only hold outs. I had to take everyone else out to make them flee. My biggest mistake was taking out Alastar too early but his chariot was a b**** to deal will

I run something similar against Skaven but I've also ran Tyion on foot double noble on chariot to mow thru rats and also deal with anything large like rat ogres, hell pit or chieftans. Or Tyrion on foot and double phoenix for the terror and any skaven artillery.
@@Satray01 lol I was Skaven against that. My build wasn't bad but it definitely could have been better.

I think the HE/Emp game could have been different if you had not gone for the ambush and instead had your bolt throwers working on the long rifles and mortar from the beginning. Your spears will win against empire spears so they are a pretty low priority target to be targeting with 3 bolt throwers.

Empire are winning alot in the Old World here in the UK tournament wise,easily mid/top tier ... just have a few 5 man bow units scouted up the field as bumps,by the time they reach your lines you shd have every unit down by a 3rd. You then win with rank bonus & grapeshot ... & dont waste coin on a lvl4 wizard ;)
As someone else said, if the game had a way of showing the value of ammunition and magic that toad dragon absorbed, you would be pleasantly surprised. Same goes for most monsters I'd wager.

Want to see every elf get a trait that gives 5% phys resist and 10% spell resist and high elves get their no brain trait that only makes you want to retreat them replaced. Maybe high elf elf units get 10% phys resist when lord isn't within 75 meters and high elf lord gets ward save and damage based on number of elves within 75 meters. High elf lord can fight big things that have magical attacks while independent elves can fight inferior units that lack them.

I usually click once, drag, and then release on Fiery Convocation. Maybe try that instead of the two-click method?
Play Norsca next. I'd love to see how they do in high level play as an underdog faction.

Regarding your "monthly plead video for dedicated PvP servers" do it. It cost you nothing and if they get enough attention the probability is not small for moving CA to set them up.
At least give us the framework to host servers. The MP community would absolutely step up and host servers itself.

wagons are vast underpriced; basically just top mobility and tankiness for a low extra price; they are much too cheap making people spam them instead off having a wagon tactically to effectively have a war machine or extra cover fire in 2 places instead off 1 (assuming you only fight at one side; often the case).

There is absolutely 0 way that the Empire is the worst factioon in the Old World.
They have consistently had the lowest win rates in tournaments by a considerable margin. An argument could be made that Skaven are worse IMO, but I can tell you as an Empire main, they are quite weak.
For LoTR they could just use BFtME or Third Age faction lists.

I play HE in ranked all the time. shit for domination most times unless vs lizards most days. b ut good in land battles if you're good at guessing the build. gotta rush vs empire, and never ever ever teclis unless vs blob armies
