I saw this live in Dallas the night it was filmed. But at the time I had no clue how it was done. It was just this marvelous, wondrous scene taking place high in the sky before my very eyes that night. At first I thought it was some kind of very precise, specialized fireworks. But the images that formed in the sky seemed way too structured and the bursts of light lasted far too long for it to have been fireworks. So I wasn't quite sure what it could have been. Now I know what it was..... *AMAZING* ....simply *AMAZING.*

I think a "Making Of" TH-cam episode would be deeply fascinating to watch!!! What drones were used, what software, the legalities??? As a member of the commercial drone community...what is involved with getting a production like this coordinated with the powers that be?!? I've seen this kind of thing from China where the rules are different, but how here at home? Truly commendable end production- such a joy to behold, bravo!!!

@@julesj5853 Software is just a tool. Art is solving problems. The more software you have, usually increases the scale and complexity. However it usually also increases the amount of problems you have to deal with. That's like trying to say that 3D digital sculpting has less essence than sculpting with clay. You are wrong. Fireworks is just a different type of medium. Also amazing, however not applicable towards any comparison, save for the similarity of the colored lights in the sky.

Drone shows are becoming common around the world. In China they have yearly CONTESTS as to which students can pull of the most spectacular coordinated drone light shows. Surely, it's going to surprise some folks but as time goes on, we'll have really epic drone shows to look forward to as a yearly (or holiday) spectacle. This most DEFINITELY would have seemed like MAGIC to anyone from 100 plus years ago.
Wish they did this where I live, in Gloversville NY..we definitely needed a sense of Christmas joy brought back here...and this...certainly would've done a piece of that... The other half is 100% the birth of Jesus!!!...but...WOW I'd love to see this where I live!!
