Very nice battery replacement! Hopefully it'll work for a long time with the new battery!

Many many thanks. I was psyching myself up yo replace this but its always a bit scary if there are hidden clips that will break off or even its designed to nit come apart to try to force you to buy a new one (like the main nicad battery.. grrrrrr). Knowing how easy it is from your video removes all stress immediately. FYI anyone else with a gx680 .. someone has posted a free 3D printable main battery case that uses 2 modern 18650 lithium cells, so that nightmare is also no longer and issue for us.

You are very welcome! Yeah I wasn't finding too many good videos pointing out if there was anything hidden, I was mostly going off of old forum posts of more skilled camera technicians stating "yeah it's easy." As far as the battery for the camera body, I'm lucky to get to have and use the AA battery holder for the GX680II. I throw in some Eneloops and just charge them every eternity. I'll post some links to the 3D print files in the description for reference. Thanks for pointing that out!

So I've recently repaired a GX680III and am using a 120 film back with the system (type I). It's getting to be a weird thing though as I shot a roll of film through it twice but now when I load the film cartridge and it starts to wind on to the beginning of the film, it keeps on winding until the spool is empty and wastes the whole roll. Is there some sort of sensor that needs to be cleaned or should I be looking for a whole new 120 back? Interestingly I have a 220 back which came with the camera initially and this shoots and winds on with 120 film just fine. Any insight into why the film back would wind on would be helpful. Thanks!

What problems do we encounter when we do not change the lithium battery? The back I have always wraps the film all the way when I insert it. Normally, he should write 1 exp, but now he writes it until the end of the movie. Could this malfunction occur because the battery has not been changed?
