Ha ha! I've had my Quest 3 for a bit over a week, upgrading from the Quest 2 because of the Batman/price drop, and it was an excellent decision on my part. It just works so much better on a number of levels. Plus, not too many months ago it seemed VR might die, but it is definitely alive and you don't have to be a "gamer" to really enjoy it. VR should really be marketed to seniors as a special demographic for this because of the exercise aspects of it.
I upgraded from the 2 also and I my eyes never hurt or got headaches like I did from the quest 2 lenses. I couldn’t use the quest 2 more than 30 minutes

I have the Quest 3 and I love it! I bring it everywhere I go and have my friends try VR for the first time. It’s always so fun watching people experience it for the first time. And everyone that has tried it has immediately gone out and bought one right after 😂

Would you say its best to buy meta quest 3 or 3s? Like, final opinion, short version. I am looking forward to gaming with it, however Im afraid of the games being too costly. I dont plan on using it for more than 2 hours a day, nor paying more than 50 euros for games, in the first year at least.
If you can afford it get the Quest 3 with 512GB memory. You'll be glad you did. I can barely be called a "casual" gamer, but have an extra battery boost to go beyond just a couple of hours in there.

Got my Quest 3 512GB yesterday and I am very impressed by it. I expected the displays to look similar to my Pico 4 but it is way better. Almost twice the brightness, much better colors, no god ray issues and it looks noticeably sharper even when Pico 4 have a small resolution advantage on paper. Quest 3 has 25 pixels per degree while Pico 4 and Pico 4 Ultra has 20 which is a big difference. I almost purchased the Pico 4 ultra but when Quest 3 512GB got a 200 dollar discount and Batman included the decision was easy.

I’ve had my Quest 3 for a little over a month and admittedly, while impressive, the more I use it, the more susceptible I become to motion sickness, especially when using EarthQuest. While the mixed reality aspect is very cool, after an hour or so you just want to get the damn thing off your face and let your eyes rest.
I have the elite strap with the battery pack…which Is ok but does nothing to help with eye strain or motion sickness. While it does a pretty good job of keeping the headset in place, if it weren’t for the near-necessity of having extra battery power, I’d almost rather just use a backward ball cap to stabilize it during upright, active use. The battery pack against the back of your skull is annoying when you just want to lay back on your pillow and chill watching a movie or something and it isn’t easily removed and swapped for the original strap without potentially breaking the headset.
Not even sure why there is only two options for the storage size. Only 128 GB and 512 GB. I went with 512 GB because well, I go crazy with Gravity Sketch to work with Blender...
@Jake.x.x I didnt play it enough at the time and didn't have the money to keep buying games on it. If you get one I suggest getting the meta quest + it gives you access to like 20 good games off the rip. Also look into experiences and other things other than games there's so many cool VR experiences
The battery takes up the USB C port so you cannot connect to the PC and the battery at the same time. However the PC will provide your head set with some power increasing the amount of play time you can have.
you can just need a special usb wire you can find online. just gotta make sure its the right amp so you dont blow your headset. i have one and use it daily

1. a quick search on google will give you several websites on google, but you should go for those recommended by youtube channels. 2. never if you get used to it, just take lots of breaks the first days. 3. connection work either by usb-c cable or over same wifi. You need a powerful pc/laptop though

I got the one that isn't magnetic like the one he said... but I think the only difference between the two is the magnetic battery, I think the strap is exactly the same and the battery lasts for the same amount of time... so... should be fine.
@skarmex3439 You can wirelessly link it with Steam Link, the only requirement on your pc is a good internet connection and steam. (and decent specs but common sense) Steam link also has remappable hand tracking in most vr games. I don't get motion sickness but if you do you will get used to it
I have a Quest 3 and prefer my Quest 2. The Quest 3 crashes and freezes consistently. Multiple times per day I get a 'not enough memory' error and whatever app I'm using crashes. Im on the 512GB Quest 3 and I heard the issues are worse on the 128GB version, which explains why Meta sneakily did away with the 128GB variant. The Quest 3 has issues that might very well border 'class action lawsuit' territory, Meta knows this and they're trying to brush it under the rug.

If you like the quest 2, you will love the quest 3. IF you think VR is still lacking, getting the quest 3 wont really change that. Well, maybe a bit, but not worth 500+ euros if you already have quest 2.
It’s AMAZING! It has sensors on the very sides of the headset so you can even reach behind you! It also lets you use ur hands for controllers. I definitely recommend!

Quest 3 if you can afford it. Visually it looks much better with the improved lenses and screens. If your on a budget get the 3S and it will still be a good experience 😄
Erm I currently own an oculus rift s. And am considering getting the quest 3. However I’m quite a stickler for good fidelity graphics. The Quest 3 can't play Skyrim untethered, that is my minimum power level to purchase a VR thing. Would be fine with a wearable processing booster, but I am not ever going to play tethered VR and get all caught up in cables or buy special stuff to the cable out of the way. A belt wearable for boosting power and battery life would be fine, push it around back and out of the way and we're good. The power doesn't need to all be in the headset but tethering to an external stationary object is asking for problems when moving a lot, it's just a bad design at the core. It's boring waiting for these companies to get to this basic design concept. They have billions of dollars and all sorts of smart people and yet no one is making an affordable fully-wearable VR \AR setup that can play all the games to capture the market. Maybe meta will release a wearable booster soon.
@sailingonthoughts9594 That isn't an affordable wearable booster. I still want the system to be standalone, complete in itself, but powerful, and fully portable. Trying to put all the power in the headset or AR glasses is dumb, that part should be as lightweight and comfortable as possible, not heavy. Look my first vr was the quest 3 but i returned it 2 Times. People are saying meta quest 3 is the best and how much fun they have. Maybe my expection were too high but man people can say what they want but vr is still only a gimmick nothing else. Well then i thought maybe its cool to watch movies with this thing yeah its kinda cool but after a while the headsets gets really annoying and it hurts. Now my biggest problem is the battery life i mean common this is just a scam in that point i cant play a game or watch a movie without watching how my batterie loses 70% . Yeah sry vr is kinda cool but still in the kid shoes. Ps: VR chat is the only thing whats cool but there are so many weirdos so yeah watch out hahah

Had my quest 3 for 2 days and I'm returning it. This thing is soooo damn painful to wear for more than 20 min. Mark is out of his damn mind to sell this thing with such a terrible, and I mean just the most awful, head strap ever. It's a shame since the vr is pretty cool. Just not worth the major pressure headaches this thing induces.
No... Really??? Of course I knew, not worth anymore money though. Why spend $600 just to be forced to spend another $50 to $100. How about just put out a good product, I shouldn't have to go third party or spend anymore and I didn't. That heavy, uncomfortable junk is back at best buy

The best VR game ever was shutdown years ago for some reason (echo VR). If you want VR just to experience VR, sure its a great iteration, but the library of games is lacking to justify spending money that could buy you a great PC.

Meta not worth the money or time. Once your setup they will make you prove age requiring copies of my driver license or passport and banking account details or they will lock your account. Meta is the worse company I’ve dealt with and 3 months after purchase I’ve cancelled my account. Don’t waste your money it’s not worth it

Can you connect to the pc while using the battery? Or does it take the usb port and make you unable to connect to the pc?
The battery takes up the USB C port so you cannot connect to the PC and the battery at the same time. However the PC will provide your head set with some power increasing the amount of play time you can have.

Been saving up for a valve index lately, but after hearing all the hype surrounding the Quest 3? I'm not sure which I should go for here.
If you have a pc for pcvr get the valve index. You need a pc just to set up the index. But if you don't have a pc for pcvr get a quest 3.

No... Really??? Of course I knew, not worth anymore money though. Why spend $600 just to be forced to spend another $50 to $100. How about just put out a good product, I shouldn't have to go third party or spend anymore and I didn't. That heavy, uncomfortable junk is back at best buy

@@propheteyebert7063 hes right tho, for a fully functional product you'd realistically be looking at 750$+. The selection of games is not good yet. The best VR game ever was shutdown years ago for some reason (echo VR). If you want VR just to experience VR, sure its a great iteration, but the library of games is lacking to justify spending money that could buy you a great PC.

Meta not worth the money or time. Once your setup they will make you prove age requiring copies of my driver license or passport and banking account details or they will lock your account. Meta is the worse company I’ve dealt with and 3 months after purchase I’ve cancelled my account. Don’t waste your money it’s not worth it

@@ClutchCrib Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Personally after around 3 months I have already cancelled my account after constant problems including age confirmation & I'm 45 LOL. They didn't need any confirmation to take my money but will lock account down if you don't provide your personal info. I'm happy I will never deal with them again. I hope you have more luck than me.
