@jrcanuck1 No really, you're good. Your coach cries and talks too much at the side line, but Canada should be crowned Concacaf Nations League champions this year. Nothing less. Marsh should not be so nervous, because his strategy to tremendously press Suriname from the beginning to the end was the best way possible to contain this sneaky Suriname's talents. Not an inch was granted for them to do their thing, they like to have the ball, to tiki taka, their way to the goals, but you did not allow them any rhythm at all. Very clever! Bless
Congratulations for a terrific team effort by Canada tonight! So for those who keep claiming that Shaffelburg should not start & that he should be a 'Super Sub', please just stop it!!! Shaffelburg ran Suriname's backs ragged in the 1st match & he was an absolute powerhouse today!!? That is also true for the people who constantly want Larin not to start. Marsch loves the David/Larin combination up front! That is not going to change anytime soon. What a terrific pass by Larin on Shaffelburg's 2nd goal. It was perfect!!! Richie Laryea was the non stop "Energy Bunny", as he gave the proverbial 110% out there tonight & he was a major factor in that win! Canada's defence was outstanding once again today! Bombito was outstanding again today! The rest of the defence were very solid too. What more can we say about Jonathan David? He is such a gem every time he plays for Canada!!!
I’m sure dad is looking down from the great pitch in the sky and has a big smile on his face. Pretty sure he knew the game would reach this level one day in Canada. I stood on the sideline as a kid when his team (Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry) played the Men’s national team to a 2-2 draw in Griesbach barracks back in 1968 when the nationals were in Edmonton to prepare for a game against Chile for Olympic qualifying (if memory serves me correctly). Hopefully, I don’t have to wait too long to enjoy a return of the Nationals back to Commonwealth, see growth in the CPL and a return to a team in Edmonton.
Ahmed, EUstaquio, Larin, David, ShaffleBerg, Buchanan, Bombeto, Davies, Millar ... that's a VERY good team. If CAD can get world class GK performances at teh World Cup ... we are going to make some noise
All Compliments for Canada from Suriname 🇸🇷
Thank you robwongls4948, a class move!
