I like that because you don't have to worry about putting that big AC unit in the window.. so does it feel like central air in your house using the unit..
yesss this saved me!!! i dont know how to install window unit so we glad i found this.. i thought id be ok just using fans but i was wroooooong lol so this was perfect ❄️❄️🧊
Hey SB! Great Video! I just bought the two hose one and set it up and was cool for about an hour or less then started blowing warm air. Am I doing something wrong? I think I got a lemon may be returning it tomorrow. Hope your two hose 10k btu worked better. Let me know. Great channel love your reviews.
hi there yes that is definitely odd and shouldn't be funny thing is because iv been so busy i didnt get a chance to swap them out n hook up my 2 hose one. but that is on my to do list this weekend for sure.. ill definitely let u know
These work, but this is the 1 hose model. I bought a couple of 12k BTU 1 hose models and they barely did anything in our larger rooms we had upstairs before we had our central unit installed. We ended up buying 8k BTU window units that worked much better. From all we looked into 8k BTU window units outperform any of the similarly sized portables like this one. They say the 2 hose portable models work much better but we spent so much on the portables we didnt want to risk it. They have newer window units that barely have a footprint outside now that hangs inside mostly. To end these 1 hose models do SUCK a lot of air from the room to try and cool...but in our case it was sucking so hard, it was sucking from any little crack in doorways/outlets/switches. So if it's pulling from the outlet/switches it could be pulling hot air from attic/walls that wasnt in the room to begin with. Just a fair warning. I know you may say it's not insulated good then but these portables pull a ton of air...so if it doesnt cool your room as you like, put your hand around outlets/switches to see if you feel hot air coming out while its running. They do great around 80 or below days and not very humid. But we live in the south and it goes way above that here with high humidity.
@@beeros6496 that's great information thanks so much for sharing that.. i was doing a ton of research when looking to purchase and i do think the dual hose will b even better for larger rooms like my living room.. my rooms upstairs are smaller so its perfect up there.. i am curious what my electricity bill will b like.. i don't run it all the time tho so we'll see.. thanks again for watching
@@ASSEENBYSB OH! Good reply...forgot to mention the portables...because they ran ALL day "trying" to cool were way more expensive than the window units and even more than our central air we have now. I mean it worked somewhat...made it around 80-90 upstairs rather than 110ish without on the super hot days. So thanks for reminding about costs.
@@princetonspencer8273 you'll have to check the dimensions of your window it fits horizontal or vertical.. but if it doesn't fit either those criteria this isn't the option ud want
