This video hit home. We unexpectedly lost our 2 year old daughter on December 2, 2022. It was hard but it made us realize that tomorrow is never promised. So on Dec 27 we went and bought our travel trailer to follow our dream of hitting the road and rv full time. We have been following you guys for all the info on Rving. Love your videos!

This is one of your best videos.why? Because you touched the reality of life being short and not to take it for granted.kudos to people like you.opening the door to living in NOW,to take a chance by choosing the life not being chosen by life forced into a mechanical machine called “work-life”.
I will one day meet you people on the road and give Ben a bear hug.

Thank you for making this video, I enjoyed it. I'm currently undergoing Chemo now. I was wondering what to do when I get past this. Go home, sit inside with my cats (husband of 45 years passed away, no children). So basically, just vegging away. I thought that's not me. Never. We had always dreamed of travelling around the country (Australia). So I'm selling the house, which will fund my new lifestyle. I've ordered my RV (Class B type, Australian Build - Avida LEURA Motorhome). I'm getting a small enclosed trailer to tow my eTRIKE along with my crafting materials. In Australia we have this "big thing" dotted all over our country. People in small towns celebrate something unique about their area... and make a statue of the thing and they make it BIG! There are over 600 of these and Australia is just a little smaller than the continental US. (Look up "Big Prawn Ballina" and see what I mean). So at least 5+ years on the road, I cannot wait!

The last night of our last trip, we stayed at a Harvest Host that could accept up to 15 rigs. That evening, 11 parked there. We me one couple over a pizza and beer and then saw them sitting outside. Our other neighbors had stopped over to say hello, so we wandered over as well. Eventually, we all had our chairs/drinks out and spend several hours sharing stories, including touring each others' models/remodels. We never exchanged names and I regret that: would be fun to know if they use any of the RV community sites. This was our first taste of meeting people and I look forward to getting better at making new friends!

We are fully retired now (as of December 2018) and have been RVing for more than 20 years. We don’t full time but we do take multi-month trips and love the trips but we also love being at our sticks and bricks. All of your reasons are valid reasons to jump in now if that is your ultimate plan.

(formerly Teachers on Adventures). Thanks, Ben for sharing your story. It really hit home with us. Back in 2015, my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was really a tough time for us as both her grandmother and mother died from breast cancer. And her dad had just died from lung cancer the year before she was diagnosed. So she made it through her treatments (and cancer-free since), but two weeks after she completed treatment, my dad passed away. So, we have been camping our whole nearly 40 years of marriage but we finally went full time in 2020. Although mostly stationary, we are finally starting to travel this weekend. We are leaving our home base here in Tennessee and plan to be out for the next year or so. We are looking forward to it, but you could not be so more correct that NOW is the time to start! You never know what tomorrow holds for you or if there will even be a tomorrow. Thank you for sharing this video.

Our nephew, at the age of 8, was diagnosed with Leukemia. He almost didn’t make it. He beat it. Today he is a career motivated young man. He had to bury his grandmother, due to lung cancer. She had the dream to see monument valley. She didn’t get to, so we are going to go in her stead. I too had a close call. Ended up in ICU over an allergic reaction to antibiotics. So we made our dream come true. You are so right. Experiences are much more enjoyable than things. I only remember two Christmas gifts. One year was a bowling ball, and the other was my piccolo. I was very much into the marching band, which gave me my music love. But I don’t have it anymore. But I do have the memories of the places it went with me.

Our former camper was totaled in a severe storm in South Dakota and we had gone without camping for about 15 years. When we learned I had cancer (turned out to be Stage3), my husband said, we're getting another camper and do some more camping. Shortly after we got a small motorhome and have done a good bit of traveling since then. Post-chemo, radiation and several years of clear scan, we're still loving travel time. God has been so good to us. It's true, you never know what the future holds. We know who holds the future and that makes all the difference. Hugs to Ben. Love y'all. (Jane)❤🙏

In 2019, my husband of 20 yrs was hit by a train while riding a bike. Our daughter was 13. In 2021, my mother passed away. Two months later, 2 of my sisters went to the hospital with CoVid. One of them was there and rehab for 7 months. She nearly died several times. My other sister unfortunately did pass away. After my husband died and thinking about my last child going to college soon, I knew I was going to have to reinvent myself. I decided that I’m going to retire somewhere beautiful and open an Airbnb. But until then, my bf and I will be living in my RV! We’re going to renovate it and I’m SO excited! 🥳

6 years ago we had our house up for sale, truck bought, trailer bought and I got breast cancer. Was told by drs I had to stay in province for 5yrs as needed quarterly visits. Being in Canada we couldn’t stay in our area in winter. So we sold truck, trailer, house, moved an hr away bought a smaller house. Now we are 65,66 and thinking full time summer or full time total. And yes so right what if..

Great video. We are never going to be full time campers, but that doesn't mean we don't love it. Because of my job as an ornamental blacksmith we would camp at blacksmithing meets allover the country. I remember camping with my pregnant wife. We always dragged our kids allover the place and really got to bond with them. They still camp. I used to do work for multi millionaires and billionaires. They had things, but I had my family and a job that I loved, I felt richer than them. Having cancer can make you realize how good life can be if you stay positive.

I understand about living today. My husband almost dies early in our marriage, so we did as much as we wanted to do when we could. Then he did died at 55 from cancer. After quite a few year alone I then moved home to take care of my dad after mom passed. Now dad will be going into assisted living and I’m planning on living in an RV full time. One reason is I feel I’ll have a home and be able to travel. Where if I moved into an apartment I wouldn’t be able to do anything else because of the cost. I’ve driven up and down the east coast by my self and it should would be nice having my own bed all the time. I know is not all sunshine and roses but I want the freedom. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you both for talking about Experiences over Things. I was forced to retire from the military, after 22 years, due to combat injuries. I started enjoying more valuable time with my kids. Last year February 2022, on Valentines Day, I was diagnosed with cancer. After several tests I found out the cancer was from the burn pits toxic smoke on my military base in Iraq. My children and I found out quickly that tomorrow is not promising or guaranteed. So I wanted to give my children fond memories, like I have, going camping with friends. I bought a camper and truck so we can go spend more family time making memories. Our occasional camping trips are hard on me but I take my time and work through my struggles to be rewarded with the smiles and fond memories I get to watch my children make with me!! 😢 I may not be able to do this much longer but I will fight through it and be thankful for every day God grants me 🙏
