~ Synopsis ~
New Dawn is a short orchestra overture inspired by an imagery of a sunrise. The piece opens with a fanfare-like trumpet figure, from which the piece develops into a thicker and thicker texture through a development of the motif as well as a rippling of energy from the first sound. Soon after, the piece pans out to a slower middle section, featuring a secondary theme that is another variation of the opening motif, using it to translate the majestic image into a spirit of hopefulness and strength. Finally, with the image of the sun enveloping the entire land, the piece returns to a pulsing momentum, finishing the piece with a bang.
曙光, 是作曲家冯国骏受日出意象的启发而作的一首交响序曲，也是特别为亚洲文化乐团今晚的首演而作。乐曲以嘹亮的小号拉开帷幕，呈现八音齐鸣的听觉印象。随着主旋律的发展，音乐的能量不断提升，音乐的质地变得愈加厚实。乐曲随后进入较慢的中间部分，呈现由第一主旋律衍生而来的第二主旋律，表现了一幅充满朝气与活力的初晨景象。最后，乐曲回到开头律动的旋律，呈现晨光笼罩大地的壮阔景象，并以一声巨响结尾。
