You guys have to remember a theme park like this is mainly for younger children. They get all excited 'helping' spider man and get a sense of accomplishment and joy. To adults of course it looks cheesy and fake, but my grand nephew who is 6 went on this ride and to him it was the most amazing thing ever, especially since he got to interact with it.
Vam The Anomaly You should take him to Universal. Spider-man "jumps" on the vehicle and it looks/feels like he really did, even though it's just a projection
You have a doc ock in this sounds strange. From the way he looks I expect him to have a deep voice with a slight German accent. I know they had to make the right kid-friendly, so Green Goblin can't have that monster's gravelly voice that he has in the Ultimate Universe.
My dad was the manager who opened this place back when it was still Marvel themed. I spent a huge chunk of my childhood in that place I still have some of the tokens from the arcade games
Thats so cool! I dont know if you could answer this but i feel like im crazy because I cant find any info on i, but I remember that one time ,they had a small 'exhibit' of Jurassic Park stuff (in that area where the Marvel stuff was). They had some Marvel stuff in the building, but I remember a full size Raptor in a glass box and on one of the other floors, they had a big T-Rex head.
@@mattsimas7553 yes there was a store next to the arcade that had all movie merch and then they lost the rights to that studio. I think the same thing happened with the Marvel arcade, they lost the rights to it.

This is insane- I had no idea there was essentially an Ultimate Spider-Man ride based off the comics! The CGI for the characters is well adapted for the comics, except Scorpion is a clone of Peter in the Ultimate comics. Plus the Green Goblin never had a glider. Voice work is terrible though. Spider-Man is supposed to be 15 years old and the Green Goblin and Doc Ock sound way too cartoony!
Also you can see a glimpse of Carnage... regular Marvel version Carnage. Not Ultimate Carnage, the one who looked like a soulless monster and could drain life out of people turning them into husks.
So it’s kinda a discount version of the universal ride? Edit: well ok that’s not really fair. It does look pretty cool, and they use different villains so we get to hear different interpretations of the characters, which I personally enjoy.
When you compare it to the world's best ride, yeah, it's not gonna look too great. But by itself, I'm rather impressed- good combination of virtual reality, physical sets, etc.
As much as I hate saying this, this ride had more creative effects than the one at Disneyland. Sad but True. But none of those two top the Universal Orlando Spider-Man ride, that one will always be the best!
Seriously, I look back at this video and even saw my comment 5 years ago. And I still say this should be one of those meme videos; so bad it’s absolutely funny to watch. I think the problem with this ride is it has a hard time deciding to be based off of Original Marvel or Ultimate Marvel. -Scorpion and Lizard sound more on par with their original selves (though if they were going for the Ultimate Universe theme, Scorpion looked different AND was a clone of Peter Parker). I also enjoy the set pieces. And both Jameson appearances were great (Spidey webbing up Jameson’s mouth and Spidey ripping open Jameson’s face on the billboard thanking the riders at the end). -Electro sounds way too deep for his Ultimate self. I think of his voice work in the Ultimate Spider-Man game and it sounds so different than here. So it’s a little surprising. -Green Goblin looks like his Ultimate self, but never had a glider nor pumpkin bombs in the Ultimate version. And his voice... 😂 Goblin is supposed to sound like a monster here, not a ripoff of ‘94 Spider-Man version. Likewise, if they’re going for the original, why the Ultimate look?? This part was so silly. Also, is that supposed to be New York or Chicago? I can easily spot the Willis (or Sears) Tower in the background. -You thought Goblin’s voice was bad? At least he sounded like a version of Goblin. Doc Ock isn’t supposed to sound like Gollum on meth!! 😂 Also while Doc Ock looks like Ultimate version, Carnage is seen there and looks like his original self instead of the monster capable of turning people into soulless husks. -Also, why does Spider-Man talk like he’s a Marvel version of Dora the Explorer? And those puns are absolutely corny. All in all, this ride pretty much gets squished by Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man (at IOA). But I can’t but wish I could have ridden this. Even if this ride looks flawed, I can’t help but get enjoyment out of how dumb and silly this ride looks. I guess that’s why I like this one lol.
