I know that Eugenix used a vacuum system similar to Zarev's but has discontinued use. Are there other clinics trying to develop something similar? As also said by the Doc. The secret of so many extractions is precisely the system it uses. I also imagine that he didn't build it himself, it's possible that some other doctor didn't buy it.

I had a conversation with Dr Zarev a couple of years ago, he mentioned that he does not need microscopes to sort singles, doubles and so on. Are microscopes really necessary as he mentioned he uses fine single grafts for softness. I ask the question as Joe tilman says it’s a crucial part of sorting the grafts in a video I seen of his years back. Either way Dr Zarev truly the goat of transplants. No question. Melvin, brilliant you got this podcast set up!
I don't believe in dogma. In general, microscopes are necessary to sort grafts. However, that doesn't mean one surgeon can get excellent natural results without microscopes. I think the proof is in the pudding.
Dr Zarev is the perfect doctor for doing Verteporfin trail, he maps and documents every inch of the scalp before and after surgery. So he will be able to scientifically be able to measure verteporfin's affects.
@@HairTransplantNetwork Earlier Dr Bisanga said there needs to be a way to "measure" after results of Verterporfin. I think Dr Zarev does measure the donor before and after. This is what Dr Bisanaga was.talking about.
@@madhav-dass Yes, but his method is working well in terms of scarring and he’s able to restore a high amount of grafts without it. So I don’t think he’d be motivated to start a trial. But I do feel we can improve and be meticulous in the new ones with Pittella and Barghouthi
Melvin please try it because if you could convince him it will bring verteporfin forward in terms of it's working or not additionally for the sake of donor regenaration it's worth it, could be the final cure we all want
This is insane ! 1. Genuinely looks like good density in these cases which is amazing to see(I wonder up close if it looks decently dense considering how bald these patients were) 2. Apologies if this is a silly question , does Zarev have long term patients that still hold their transplants well? Only ask because I’m assuming with such big graft numbers some have to be out of the safe zone

I'm gonna be operated by him soon enough and seen multiple of his patients during my consultation journey over there, let me tell you : it looked like these guys had never lost hair, almost unbelievable. 2. He has cases on insta, especially one with his 1st surgery 10 years ago and it didn't move. Also on htn, there is hugo from 3 years ago too, and didn't budge one bit. As far as your supposition is concerned, rewatch this video carefully. He just explained he never goes outside the safe zone, and everyone has a different zone compared to what we always beliieved. Probably a case of lazyness from all the notorious surgeons.

I mean its not that there are less available grafts with an 0.8mm tool or vice versa more available grafts with an 0.45mm tool. Maybe he explained it in the video but I didnt get it.
Hairlines are subjective, designs vary. But he is very good. I really like Dr. Konior, Hasson, Sethi, Bisanga, De Freitas, Munib, to name a few others.
If one goes outside of the safe zone (say below the occipital area) of the donor, there are still chances that this hair will remain implanted, because it wouldn't ultimately have fallen at all? You have many people that are NW 5-6 and you see that the hair right above the neck, which is in theory outside of the safe zone, that is still standing even at an old age?

My dermatologist has told me take oral minoxidil, but I already have excessive hair growth on my body and I am taking hair removal treatments for that as the body hair are thick and long. Do you think it is worth it? And do you think it will affect my body hair more Will wait for your reply

Seems very good. Like so many good doctors in Europe they seem very competent but the price is just too much for me sadly. If you can afford these doctors I say go for it

And temporal peaks (the sides of the forehead) is difficult! If I had the money I would go for the established doctors and get a very good result rather than getting a result for a life time Im not happy with. Like getting a tattoo.

I guess his first patience were either some middle clasw test patients or very rich individuals! I checked the waitng time and you have to wait really long to get a hairtansplantation date. Also checked recently the consultation and operation prices and they are astronomical ! For some millionaires or V.I.Ps affordable,...but for the average joe's its simply way too expensive!!!!!
Even 10 years ago 3/4 euros per graft was too expensive already for bulgarians average wage. So he was operating upper class/celebrities from his country. Until mid 2k23 you had the opportunity to get 5 euros per graft which is fair for the best in the world.
Melvin do you know any other doctor that does giga sessions like this guy? His waiting time is ridiculously long. Not sure someone in their 20s and 30s can wait years when they primarily want their hair in their youth

0.45mm punch size is bonkers. No wonder he can get so many grafts with so little scarring. This is the next level of FUE
I’m sure the tool he developed makes a big difference. 0.45 on a regular punch will transect the graft.

Same question, does a larger punch kill nearby grafts ? Or change graft direction making them in harvestable.
I believe the reason is that the skin contracts after extraction. Allowing better healing, and the ability to extract more hairs close together.

Yes it is worth it, you can always shave body hair. Finasteride will help stop excessive body hair growth.

There’s always options for those on a tight budget. HDC in Cyprus charges 2 euros per graft, very affordable
