I always assumed Richard Ayoade was smart - his intelligence seeps through his humor, but listening to him being somewhat serious I realized just how interesting his views are. He sounds like a true film maker. I could listen to him all day!
Their discussion about profits being a motivator for making a film is particularly hilarious today, as it’s five days before Avatar 2 comes out & Variety reported that it needs to clear $2B at the box office just to break even.
I actually agree with him about Ordinary People . . . to think I never would've had to sit through that is Salinger has just allowed a proper film to be made of 'Catcher in the Rye' ! and 'I would've said what you said but louder' is hilarious
I wonder if Richard gets a lot of acne, he tends to touch his face while thinking and responding. Sometimes I do the same occasionaly and I always start to break out the same day.

interesting, I touch my face a lot but don't. and I touch my scalp a lot (I'm bald) but only get acne near my forehead.
