I’ve been looking for a motion tracking solution for about 5 years, and the problem has always been sliding and misunderstanding behind the back. This tool looks very cool for a single camera. The best part is running in the street like a fool, haha! Thanks for sharing your workflow and knowledge. We love your content.
You're the best source of information when it comes to representing the dangers of AI for 3D modelers. Your insights are spot-on, and you also share your workflow with truly complex tutorials. Congratulations!
Nah, AI isn't a danger for 3d modeller. They can't retopo nor UV mapping. I mean Meshy, Rodin, Tripo, Trellis, and Meshtron when I said "they". Once they can do that, it will be a danger for 3d artist.
Very informative and helpful video. I also tried Quickmagic about a month ago but only in the interior so I didn't even think it would work in motion. Great, thanks for the demonstration
Thank you so much for this video and your others - I’m new to the concept of making my own short films, it’s something I’ve wanted to do in a long time and I keep dabbling with blender, Houdini, C4D, Unreal Engine but always get bogged down with the tech that I just can’t fathom how I will ever achieve my end goal of what’s in my amazing imaginative mind. I have decided to try and commit, and UE5 appears to have all the tools I will need, and your videos really will help put my visions to 3D render. This is going to be difficult to learn, I hope I can push through to create something truly awesome. Looking forward to more of your content. 💪
Well done, I was making a short conceptual movie in Unity for work and was attempting to use sora to generate a video with a stationary camera perspective to then use with Cascadeurs video mocap tool. It unfortunately refused to maintain a still perspective. I’ll definitely give QuickMagic a go since it can handle a moving shot, first time hearing of it
Great video! I would like to recommend 3 more solutions that work with only one camera and have local processing. I would love to see a comparison from you: 1 - Marionette XR: Free while in the pilot program and is capturing hands very well. 2 - AnimCraft: 30-day trial and has some tools to clean up foot locking and retarget other skeletons. 3 - Cascadeur Video Mocap: Free and has an entire AI system to make the animation more realistic and physically correct.
thank you for this great tutorials u help me every time with ur videos. have a good Christmas and an happy new year hopefully with a lot content in 2025.
Hey the darkest, love your vids by the way. I followed the 2hr course to completion! Question. When will you do another in depth 2hr tutorial. THERE GREAT😊
Hey thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it. I'm not sure, to be honest. I'm going to do some shorter tutorials for awhile. Is there anything in particular you want to learn? Would a tutorial on cinematic lighting sound cool?
Looks great. Dropping gems with these posts. Used AI to make some Maya UV scripts and code up a drone GUI in processing. A game changer for me would be Epic implimenting such a system to help generate blueprint or PCG visual scripting graphs from text prompts.
Hey Charlie, excellent work as usual…and a refreshingly non-hyperbolic delivery style as well! Reminds me of an Unreal / Virtual Filmmakers equivalent of Gerald Undone, or Phillip Bloom. I noticed at one point in this episode you mentioned a Discord server. Unless I missed something obvious, Is there a link to that anywhere? I couldn’t find it on the Northwoods site. Oh, and I’ll definitely be checking out Quickmagic, Move One was already beginning to show some of its weaknesses. Looking forward to the next one.
You're a boss. I noticed your camera movements are little jerky. I did the same thing and found using the camera crane rig helps a lot with that. Give it a shot
Hello my friend, thank you for your good training, I am from Iran and I have a project that I want to depict an ancient war with an army with a high number of soldiers, how can I use population multiplication and war automatically?
It's a great question, i haven't figured out how to do large armies very easily in UE. Check out an asset called SKELOT, which is expensive, but is a way to render many skeletal meshes on screen
This is a great shot, I wish the sfx was more enhanced specially those hit in the distance. I would love to assist you in ur near future shots regarding sound design if that interest you.
The section on Sora was interesting, it still seems really unreliable but no doubt the tech will improve a lot over the next few years. If it can help me achieve my vision I'll use any tool!
I wanted to join the discord, but it says expired...Great work though man. Im currently a graduate student at GSU studying Digital Filmmaking. I love watching your videos for insight and workflows. You really have opened my eyes to a lot. Keep it up!
Cool! It probably takes a bit more work to set up because it’s an open source research project. But if the results are good, then it seems like the best budget solution because it’s free!
Your content is amazing Btw i heard about an open source video to animation tool called AiOs can you cover it in the next videos and see if it is good or not.
Found this in secton 3.1 of the User Agreement, which isn't directly accessible from the front page: "Users must abide by the laws, regulations, and policies of the People's Republic of China" no thanks 😂
Yeah, also I am a bit of a noob. A friend who is more versed AI tools already pointed out I should be using image to video for more accuracy. He also showed me basically the same experiment I did in this video, but using Kling and starting with a Midjourney image, and the results were much better
Thankyou so much for sharing very valuble video on Unreal for film making, I am new to Unreal, please tell me what is used for cloth simulation? and can i know what should be the resolution of face texture (importing in unreal) of metahuman if painted in substaince 3d painter? What do you think of Quickmagic? How do you use generative AI in your workflows?
Beautiful scene. As i' learning Unreal and This tool can be a great help. Hoping to learn more from you

Well done you didn't disappoint sorry I was late to see the video but it looks amazing.
I've tested most of AI Mocap tools, none of them is accurate as much as QuickMagic, Thank u so much, you made my day!

Phenomenal work! So clear, concise, and easy to understand...big thanks! Doing this workflow as we speak.
You can use Cascadeur to clean the animation from Quickmagic to make the animation smoother
These are really groundbreaking techniques that you explain very clearly and concisely. Great work!
Charlie, fantastic video! It was incredibly informative, and you consistently deliver top-notch content. I can’t wait to see more of your work!
Very informative and helpful video. I also tried Quickmagic about a month ago but only in the interior so I didn't even think it would work in motion. Great, thanks for the demonstration
Nice work! Well spoken and detailed. Looking forward to your Chaos destruction tutorials!!
this is rad man, I'm glad I found your channel
Quickly turning into my favourite UE5 channel 👌🏻

Amazing, Your Channel Is The Best, Most Practical & Adoptable UnReal Animation MoCap. Thanks For Sharing Your Expertise .
This video is so amazing !! I'm so glad that you are making videos about this tech !!!
You’re amazing, another banger to move everyone forward thank you so much
Great as always! I love your approach to everything. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for sharing your workflows.
Thanks, i love your work too!
Very very nice Bro, I appreciate what you are doing!
Dude! Your tuts are the best!!
You're giving me some very useful information. Thank you for that❤
Thanks for the video! You can use a cache for destruction and then it’s deterministic.

With kling 1.6 you could generate tracking camera video and better result for your prompt.
Yep, there are a few different methods I could use, including starting with a still image
Veo 2 will be the best option to film with once it's released, but for now, use Kling or Runway

Thank you, being compared to Phillip Bloom is a huge compliment, i learned a lot about cameras from him over the years
Discord link is in the video description
You're a boss. I noticed your camera movements are little jerky. I did the same thing and found using the camera crane rig helps a lot with that. Give it a shot
Yeah you are totally right, I will check it out, have never messed around with those features
Thank you BRO!!! Does better camera will resolve jittering animation? Like better lighting, 4K camera, global shutter?
That would probably help
Thanks!

Good one.
Crown material two sided off ;)
QuickMagic + Cascaduer to clean it up are my current mocap WF
The section on Sora was interesting, it still seems really unreliable but no doubt the tech will improve a lot over the next few years. If it can help me achieve my vision I'll use any tool!
Really amazing! Wonder if Quickmagic exports the mocap data to Maya. Huge thanks for this incredible lecture 🙏
I'm sure a pipeline could be figured out, if it doesn't work right out the box
pls try video to video using your ue5 footage, I always want use AIGC as a preview to final render tool .
Totally, this is a great idea. I also want to try face swaps on top of metahumans

Let me know if that works
@@TheDarkestAgeUnreal still says expired
@@TheDarkestAgeUnrealdid it on my phone. Got it to work🙌🏾
please use the audio track feature, it is a new feature provided by TH-cam for multiple ai generated languages
What do you mean?
3:32 "My Samsung Note 23 Ultra" Oh boy 😂😂😂
Lol I try to be precise but I does sound a little nerdy
@NorthwoodsInteractive Samsung doesn't make Note phones anymore. It's called the S23 Ultra. You got confused there 😂
@@TheDarkestAgeUnrealSamsung ended the Note series back in 2020 and gave the Spen to the S series.
Hi, Did you cached chaos cloth somehow before rendering ( kings cape ) or was it not needed? Thank you.
Hey, i did not cache the cape, or any of the physics, for that matter
can you do a video on cyanpuppets? their AI mocap seems good for being free
Not all AI video generators are equal. Sora is not catching up to the frontier.
Yeah it seems the current version of Sora is not what was revealed months ago
Veo 2 would like to have a word with you
Awesome work! I’d love to see your opinion on freemocap. I wonder how it compares to move AI pro, because it also makes use of multiple cameras.
Very interesting. I will definitely check it out, always looking for other multicam solutions
Cool! It probably takes a bit more work to set up because it’s an open source research project. But if the results are good, then it seems like the best budget solution because it’s free!
Niceeeeee❤❤
Awesome video. I unchecked visibility in the bombfield blueprint, but it is still showing up in my renders. What did you change so it doesn't show up?
I actually added every bomb field to my sequence, and gave them an "actor hidden in game" track and hid them there
@ Oh ok cool I will give that a try. Thanks 🙏
hey whats the head rig you are using, is there anything cheaper ?
it looks like he uses Rokoko on iPhone. But at least you don't need 2000 USD for Rokoko mocap suit
I uave tutorial on how to make a DIY helmet. Also check out Facemotioncaptyre
@@TheDarkestAgeUnreal could you share a link pls thanks
And in just a few years you won't need any of this, if the speed of development in generative video continues at the same pace or accelerates.
Your content is amazing

This would work great with iClone 8
Drone!
Been using it for like a month now and it is worth every single dime. Move one kind of sucks.
Lol yeah
Is it free?
You get trial credits, then it's pretty cheap, but not free
were you approached by the company before making this video?
I was not. The video is not sponsored in any way. Although they approached me after it had been up for a day or two.

Yeah. I saw others do a comparison. Quick magic wins.
💯

Use 4k texture at least, 8k if you can. I use Lumen for rendering because it's faster. Pathtracer is higher quality but will take 100x as long
