Daily Study no. 104 for Trombone Quartet

Trombone quartet today, once again focusing on some of this ensemble's unique capabilities. Like before, I am writing to take full advantage of the trombone's very wide dynamic range. I also wanted to write a melody that made a pronounced use of the trombone's glissando capabilities.
Those aside, the main element I wanted to explore in this study is the use of echoes. The opening/ending material has each player repeat what came before, as a softer and softer echo. Then in the melody section, it begins as a solo, then duet, then trio with each part playing the same material at different times. I find the glissandi work well with this effect, as they are very attention grabbing, so it's quite straightforward to hear these "points of interest" as they echo through the group.
As always, these pieces are welcome for anyone and everyone to play! All I ask is that you share it with me, because I'd love to hear it done by live players!
