First Peacock and Largemouth Bass on Fly in Miami FL

Peacock bass are one of the most beautiful fish in freshwater and they are notorious for putting up a great fight, especially on fly! On a recent trip with my family to Montana I was introduced to fly fishing on the Bitter Root and Missouri River and discovered yet another outdoor passion! I left Montana with a fly rod and had the first opportunity to play with it targeting Peacock Bass while canal hopping in Miami, FL. If you Keep the rod tip down and close to the water when stripping big streamer type flies, this will result in double the hookups. Fish are rolling on it because the fly is moving up in the water column vs lateral or down. Also creates a better hook set when they eat. Great video!
