if u dont care about high damage, i feel the taoist armor + wind vessel + gouge that will give you a 80% damage reduction make you tank like a raid boss is one of the best setup as well, especially in high NG++++
@@JRPGSamurai yeah for now i use 2 set of pilgrim for faster running......but i think the golden set works the best since u will be spamming the vessel....it give bonus damage
Far b4 I seen this vid I had just gotten to chapter 4 and was at a cross roads with which armor to move forward with. My option were upgrade the pilgrim set to legendary or craft the golden set. As gold threads at that point are very finite I needed to be sure. I decided to go with the gold set because it was the one set at that point that would let me play very aggressively and man once I perfected the build it was over for almost all bosses with the crits and stun locking with apramana bat. Although I haven’t used all of the mentioned sets it’s hard to imagine for ppl that like aggressive in ur face gameplay that any other armor would be number 1.
Golden Embroidered is the best set to defeat Earlang. Combined with the right spirit, you can use the Fan at least 3 times and break his shield on every fase.
If you enjoy resolute strike and see through counter attack, bull king set is better choice compare to original wukong set. I’m playing NG+4 using bull king set mostly. I do switch to original wukong set for those enemies with fast moving attacks. Erlang is a good example to use original wukong set w almost 900 defense.
Aside from that, bullking still give you focus when dodging (the game recognise the hit giving you focus but not the dmg) and tenacity makes you able to dodge bosses true combo if the hit you with the first attack, while with old wukong you have to tank the whole combo and sometimes just die in high NG. Honestly bullking is a overall better than old wukong, unless you are a roll god
Good point, but man i still love my perfect dodging more than the bonus from bull king. The 800 defense is also very useful if you use the dark iron staff
Once you get to NG++++ and higher (assuming you replay it that many times) skill becomes the deciding factor if you live or die. Bosses get increased health and damage, and can two shot you. Your power caps basically when you max out all sets in your third playthrough
@@pires11d I used bull king set to fight through NG+++ and beyond because the tenacity effect gives you the ability to continuous attack without being interrupted. Work well for those resolute strikes and see through. I beat non able and stunt him with continuous resolute strikes and see through lol.. fun.
Can you test the Ochre Set. The effects of arm guard that will give the Critical hit chance after consuming focus point, it doesn’t work on my test. Thank you.
Its working, tested this multiplies times. The thing is, there's a visual bug that the crit icon is not showing in our health bar. But if you paused the game after using a focus point, you can see the additional crits added to your stats.
Concept Wukong armor might not be the best in the first 3 NG+ runs but after that it becomes undoubtedly the best one due to the high defense and paired witht he dark staff it gives the highest attack. My top 2 armors are bull king and then the concept wukong armor.
Samurai, I noticed for your Pilgrim Set burst setup clips you didn't show any 4-charge smash heavies - is that because the animation takes so long that the damage buff is gone by the time the attack lands? Thanks for your expert assessment of these armor sets, now I feel like crafting/upgrading the Golden Set isn't going to be a waste of resources. I was worried I wouldn't be worth it because most spirits I like take so long to recharge the Qi for, but the +Qi passive seems to make up for it. Only thing is I don't really like using mobile spin during damage windows on bosses, do you think light and varied combos build up Qi fast enough to make it worth it or do I have to be using mobile staff spin constantly?
Hello Prison, thank you for the compliment however by no means, I am no expert, I am just a regular guy like the others who loves to report the results but thank you once again, I appreciate it. Regarding the Pilgrim, Smash 4 charge heavies definitely stronger, however, the animation is too long for the Pilgrim's 100% attack buff. We only have 2 second to utilize that after you stopped sprinting so, the dodge, thrust stance level 4 charge attack is better and much more consistent. I have shown two tactics in here, first one is a spirit setup where wight should be the finisher, and much stronger then, the second one is the thrust stance.

The Gold Suozi set is kinda a general one, either Daoist and Non-Able works for this build, full skill stree but not necessary, x3 Cat eye bead, amplication pellet, to get the most crits. If you are referring to the Original Wukong Armor set on the other hand, X3 gold spikes, 1 Agate Jar, X1 Cat Eye bead or Amber Beads. Plus the dark iron staff. You will get that juicy 900 plus def when playing on NG+4 with max relics.

I also struggle with that, On low level you only have access to 3 focus bar, then you unlock the 4th one and thats when is completely full. Once it does you only charge the heavy attack and release.
You need to complete the game 3 times with the true ending and in the process, you will be able to unlock all of your relic upgrades. Equip the heaven's equal set with the Jingubang, then perform a level 4 charge heavy then the stance will proc. It only last for 60 secs.
9:21 Re the Bull King 4-piece set bonus. You said: "Adds Tenacity or Hyper Armor when HP is ABOVE 50%". Are you absolutely sure this is the case and not when HP is BELOW 50% as the game's armor perk description says? That is a huge difference and a hell of a misinterpretation for the devs or translators to make. So, are you sure?
The description in thegame is the one inaccurate David. I tested this a lot of times. Tenacity applies when HP is above 50 not below 50. Game Science is confused I think. You can test it as well and you can see in my clips that Suh is not being budge when above 50%. Watch it again.

Just started NG+ so waiting anxiously to reach the point where I can get more of the scarce Bull King materials to craft the other two (arms and leg) to complete the full set.

It’s likely because u have a finite time b4 the 4th focus point starts to regress.
