Hey man did you get it ?! If yes can you please tell me about the frets ? Like how tall are they? I'm a lead player and I'm not good with short frets when it comes to bending and playing legato. Please let me know what you think
Sir, the more "caveman" you go, the happier I am. This instrument inspired you to write something that made me non-stop stank face throughout the whole demo track. Please if you can keep this guitar and write more with it.
Polaris - THE REMEDY sounding riff , ARCH ENEMY - Nemesis , if i as more of a guitarist and they made a 27 INCH 7 STRONG i would buy one of these on heartbeat
One of Vola's endorsers is Mayto, formerly co-guitarist in Hagane and currently co-guitarist in the new band Mana Diagram, which also includes former Hagane vocalist Uyu.
The way my jaw dropped when I visited the Vola site recently. Those prices are crazy lmao it's like old Ibanez Prestige prices from the late 2000s to early 2010s. Oh how I took those times for granted.
Really like how you present your thoughts on the song writing process…that is a well known language for me…great guitar, by the way! I have got an ESP Horizon 1 from Japan which also has got excellent quality…
Even back when foreign made mass produced guitars weren't up to snuff with American made or cudtom shop guitars japanese guitars always seemed to be the exception to thst rule
I love their Vasti PDMJ2. it starts with their take on a Tele for the body ....but puts in a Strat thing of HB/s/s for the PU's and a whammy. You get the mahogany body with the maple cap. Perfect, I get a single cut with everything I like from the Strat. The choice of the bridge PU and the wood gives me all the Gibson sound and vibe I need. The best way to get a Strat, Tele and LP thing and from just one guitar.
Really enjoyed this and loved your review and perspective. We subscribed today and thoroughly enjoyed the rabbit hole of vids we find ourselves in, LOL! 😂 Keep up the great work!👏🎧
The fact that Epiphone is owned by Gibson and licensed to build all the classic models shouldn't be that difficult to understand? Shit, they get $1500 for a Kramer V. Not everyone digs Vola guitars astetically.
@@andrewbecker3700What’s difficult to understand is the HUGE upmark without any notable quality improvements. Epiphone has moved from being a well known budget brand to producing Gibson guitars at low end gibson prices, without the Gibson name on the headstock. There’s no comparison to epiphone when it comes to quality and specs. Gibson guitars that retail for 5000+ still use antiquated nickel frets instead of SS. Why is that? Because they’re a legacy brand? That shouldn’t be a valid excuse for their HUGE mark ups.
@@evangibeau4489 Never said I'm down with it, or that it's valid. But unfortunately that doesn't make it not so. I payed $1299 for an Epiphone AJ sig. with Frank Frazetta "The Berserker " custom art on it. From the get go, I knew I be modding it. Tusq XL nut, Gotoh keystone tuners and EMG 81/85 ZW pickups. It's a $2000 dollar guitar all day.
@@evangibeau4489It's not that hard to understand, because Vola simplified their entire business to be online only - which saves a ton of money. It's also worth noting that Japanese labor is a LOT cheaper thanks to years of a stagnating economy, and the Yen is in such bad shape that importing them is going to save money too.
@@evangibeau4489I bought the Matt Heafy Origins 7 string for around 1100 bucks with a hardshell case and a Billie Joe Armstrong sig, also with a hardshell for around 375ish. No complaints on either. A string change and fret polish was all they needed, and I did the same with the only gibson I've ever bought. Epiphone is knock8ng it out of the park. If you think they're too expensive, don't buy one.
Great guitar and now very good pricing, cool demo track as well. What about your new Agufish Signature model V.2? Seems there is a baritone style prototype in the background? Any news on this?
"Made in Japan" is a dead giveaway when it comes to quality. If you want to buy crap at a cheap price: China. When you want quality: Japan. Not so cheap but worth every penny.
These Volas look really cool! I can remember watching you demo a 7 string model recently. I actually bought an Ibanez AZ 7 string last year, not many options if you want a production 7 string with single coils and a non-Floyd trem. I'm really enjoying the Gotoh trem and the singe coil spanky sound but it's not as sleek to play as I'd prefer. I seem to like Schecter's ultra-thin necks! Also found the bridge pickup on the AZ disappointing, this Vola bridge pickup sounds a lot chunkier. If I'd known about Volas before I got my AZ it's very likely I would've got one instead. They only seem to do stainless steel frets and the slim neck on the signature model 7 strings though. I think I'd go for the Vasti model (Pierre Danel signature apparently) as it's available in that lovely sandblasted finish. Vasti seems to be their Tele shape, which isn't my first choice of guitar shapes (I'd almost always pick a super-Strat style first) but I actually really like Vola's take on it with their own little cutaway. I got my AZ really cheap for a brand new guitar, for £1400 whereas it's usually £1800 - 2200. I think I got lucky when the retailer I bought from matched a competitors price that was out of stock anyway (some kind of automated price matching algorithm I think as it dropped to the exact price of their competitor). I definitely want to have a 7 string with a Strat-style trem in my arsenal but I think I'll sell the AZ due to those things I'm not so keen on. I've thought that a custom spec'd Kiesel would be a good replacement but of course that's a different price level. So the Vola Vasti may end up being the one..£1229 is an incredible price for the specs and MIJ, I may even be able to get that amount back from my AZ as I've seen some go used for around £1400. I'm sure the slimmer neck and 16" radius would feel a lot sleeker. This 6 string model looks interesting too. They don't seem to do an HSS model with the slim neck and stainless frets, this seems to be the closest thing. That's the one other thing I found with my AZ, having 24 frets HSS can make the space between the two single coils a bit tighter which can be annoying with more aggressive picking. As much as I like 24 frets I think Vola made the right choice going for 22 with this model; that angling of the neck/middle pickups seems to make a bit more space by the lower strings too where it will be most helpful. I reckon I'd find this comfortable to play. Would prefer the 16" radius they have on their 7 strings but at least there's the slim neck! What I love the most is that versatile pickup switching. You get so many options. Ibanez are good with their Dynamix but this seems to be even better. It's great getting the choice of humbucker/single coil even as you go into positions 2 & 4 where a lot of other guitars wouldn't give you the choice and just automatically split the coils. You could even use that blower switch as a kill switch. Whilst lots of other guitars I would want to modify the electronics to get more features, with this I'd be happy with everything they give you. I will definitely keep this OZ model in mind as I do want to get a 6 string super-Strat with a trem at some point soon. I'm considering the Schecter MV-6 currently, and swapping its pickups to USA ones. But for not much more money this Vola seems like it can do absolutely everything.
You know the worlds gone mad when it’s cheaper to buy a high end guitar from Japan that uses imported American wood than it is to buy an American made one with the same American wood
Sick guitar!! If i hadnt just gotten a Charvel DK24 HSS ( the pink one 😁 ) this one would definitely be on my list.... i mean it still is but it'll have to wait 😂😂
Just picked up a " gun Metal" primer grey DK24 HSS used. Someone put Bareknuckle Holy Diver In the bridge, and two Slow hands in the other position. 500$ I think I got a steal. Great fun guitars.
It looks sick. Sounds fucking awesome. But I did notice a decent amount of pitch drift. Especially on the bottom string when you'd play. Especially on single notes. That said. Still seems like a fantastic instrument. And that little Creedance Clearwater like clean riff right after the demo track was nice.
You'd think the guitar companies would see this new market for cheap great guitars , their gonna lose market share eventually if they don't lower price
These are just ridiculous now.

I got Vola 3 months ago. It plays and sounds INCREDIBLE. The neck is insanely comfy.
How is the neck? Thin? Thick? Thinner than a sterling sr-50?
In case anyone was wondering, the riff Hunter played super well in the beginning was Polaris - the remedy
I have this model but in blue. Its a killer guitar. I got it for $600 used locally. Crazy guitar for that money
Jeebus talk about a steal

Okay, NOW THAT looks and sounds quite cool! :D The prices right now are amazing. (Yes, I remember buying MIJ for $500-1000...)

I seriously wanna get one of these. Anyone know if they're gonna restock their 24-fret models?
I have this exact same model and color. Love it.
Dude, that demo track is amazing!!! 🤘❤️
0:49 Kitty Kat loves Vola!
Kitty loves the case. lol!
I dig the reverse headstock. Cool shape.
They need to hush before the prices go back up 😅

The fact that you can find Epiphones for the same price as this is befuddling. The guitar market is weird.

Excellent demo song!
HA, it is pointy and you LIKE it.
Ive had mine for 3 months and love it! DaBomb!!
Great review and sic riffing!
dude... a blower\burner switch is best if you go from a rolled back volume to a chug fest just a button away great demo thanks
That was a sick demo Hunter! 🔥🤘
I'm constantly blown away by your writing, awesome stuff! I also can not believe what Japan is putting out. you better watch it USA!
Great presentation of what seems to be a great guitar
I have a Vola OZ mrm and this is by far the best guitar I ever owned
Great guitar and now very good pricing, cool demo track as well.

Where can I find the IRs?
You may be hearing more about them on this channel very very soon 😉

The little bit of Credence after the demo fucken killed me 😂
One of my favorite songs you've made.👍
Dude,awesome channel. Keep it up
You need to try out Bacchus guitars next. Insane value for money
You know the worlds gone mad when it’s cheaper to buy a high end guitar from Japan that uses imported American wood than it is to buy an American made one with the same American wood
Yeaaa, Vola is my favourite guitar brand, even tho I dont own a single one xD (well, I have only 1 guitar anyway, next will be vola for sure)
Sick guitar, sick demo track
Chonker riff. Sounds like it would be on Urban Dictionary
This demo track sounds like someone did a hard rock remix of the old "E.A. SPORTS" cadence lol
God this guitar looks sick
I want one 🤩😍
Hi
Agufish did you noticed when you saw the guitar that was a little samall ?
I like this kids enthusiasm...
Wow that is a beauty for so little money. Sweet
I bought it. Thanks a lot.
No demo of the middle pickup, huh?
Looking really cool and it seems to work since like 80% of their website says 'Sold Out' lol
@agufish check the kirk hammet les Paul custom !
Agu…
What drum pack are you using?
If harley benton do a "copy" I am soooooo getting one. The fusion hss is great but the hotrail in neck position would be nice.
That’s an amazing looking axe!
Sick guitar!! If i hadnt just gotten a Charvel DK24 HSS ( the pink one 😁 ) this one would definitely be on my list.... i mean it still is but it'll have to wait 😂😂

500$
I think I got a steal.
Great fun guitars.
a lil Polaris my friend? 😁
Someone’s on quite the CCR train 😂
Is that your Model guitar in the background there Agu???????🤔
I want a vola so bad :(
Metal sports center theme !
Bad Moon Rising 🤘🏼❤

Because the guitar market is full of people who own 20 of the same brand of guitars because people have a weird sense of brand loyalty.
Second.
cool
Good guitars, but I can't let go of the way they screwed all the independent music stores that took a chance on them.
Killer instruments. But they are not cheap by any means. IMHO Ibanez and Yamaha are way better bangs for the buck.
