Stroud has had a nice upward curve through camp and the preseason. The first game against the Ratbirds will probably make him look like a rookie...but then again, that's who he is right now. Optimism in the Texans fan world.
Especially with 4 injuries to the starting offensive line. 2 season ending injuries and the other 2 starters coming back after a few weeks. Going to be a tough start for him.
I’m not so sure. Ravens defense is certainly a liability. If he cannot preform against them it’s definitely a backwards step as that secondary isn’t anywhere close to top of the league.
Hey JT, great analysis. I’ve been watching your channel for a few years and love the chance to learn from you. You often comment on the throwing mechanics of quarterbacks and attribute accuracy issues to things like heel clicks or base. My question as a fan with limited experience trying to throw pinpoint accurate passes is how and how much do mechanics affect accuracy? Maybe you could break down perfect technique and the ways poor footwork etc. directly affects throws?
Absolute dime. CB was in his pocket. He never created enough space. He put it where the CB didn’t face time to turn around and it dropped in the basket
JT can you talk about what putting your off hand on your core does during play action? Heard you mention that in a few of your videos. What's the point of that?
It seems like he came into the league being too careful with where he throws the ball, not wanting to throw an INT, which causes him to pump-fake a lot - not to try and trick defenders mind you, but out of hesitation. But this has gotten better throughout the preseason which is a sign of optimism as it indicates that it is an issue with inexperience; that he will progress as he gets more comfortable with the system and his receivers, and more trust in the play calling. It will be a bumpy rookie year but I think he will improve steadily so long as he's allowed to be a rookie making rookie mistakes and learn from them.
I think you put these qbs down to make yourself feel better for whatever reason. If he throws that ball upfield it gets picked off 10/10 times if the db knows what jes doing. It was perfectly placed nico just needs ro come down with it
You nail it as usual. Sadly if he puts it together my titans have a rival. I cant remember a qb who can pass when theyre comfortably able to set their feet and get mobile when needed but when both are rushed and needed at the sametime either or its awkwardness . Bro..... that first pass was an absolute dime.
If he throws it where this dude is saying to, it hits the db in the back of the head. Absolutely retarded comment.

FACTS. I think we’re seeing some over analysis here. Very hard to throw it any better than that
Exactly! But if this was a throw Bryce Young made he would be salivating and you would hear no words about footwork.
