Fantastic idea to have the entire kitchen over the island, very modern and leave the wall for other things. The oven next to the freezer is a huge mistake. Covering them looks amazing.
Thank you for your comment. As it's a functional kitchen and a very tall ceiling it was important to ensure the space could be well lit. But all the lighting is easily controllable on a smart lighting system and in zones, making it easy to create a cosy ambient atmosphere with all the low level lighting.
Nice enough, I guess. But there is nothing personal and warm about that interior. No indication of who the house belongs to... Everything could have been bought at the same store. No character at all - could be in any upscale AirBnB anywhere in the world. Where are the second-hand, vintage or inherited items? They probably don't like that sort of thing. Makes for a blah life.
Thank you for your comment. I completely appreciate where you are coming from, and when possible in projects we encourage clients to incorporate items with history and a story within the space. This is an extension to a very large existing farm house, which is full of sentimental items and each space tells its own story. For this extension our brief was to design with all new, purposefully and intentionally selected items. We removed personal family photos and accessories to reserve the client's privacy for the video tour.
What are you talking about, no character? She's mentioned the inclusion of original feature church house window and there's a nice stone wall behind the tv, there are wooden beams in the hallway. This is obviously an extension to the Church house but they've included the wood effect in the kitchen cabinet doors. The furnishings bring warmth as well. How you can compare this to an AirBnB is quite frankly an insult.
But can we walk about the marble kitchen island in this home?! Soooo stunning.
Thank you! It looks even more incredible in real life!
Dear Miss Alisa, is that possible to get information about the chessboard, namely where it is possible to buy it. Kind regards.

Far too many downlights

You would need that many lights because of the height of the ceilings.
