This is very underrated place in India . Mostly Maharastrians visit Aurangabad.I think people from other states should also visit but they are unaware about such historical place.
I would guess that big buildings are a status symbol, and attract a lot of tourism as well. As pretty as they are, a lot of people could definitely be fed and housed with the money spent on them as well
