Kenai (Phoenix) is a young Indian brave with a particular distaste for bears. When his brother Sitka (Sweeney) is killed by one, he in turn kills the bear, only to be magically transformed into one himself. To make matters worse, his other brother Denahi (Raize) vows to kill the bear has become. His only hope is a magical mountain where he believes he can be changed back to a human, and he enlists a real bear cub Koda (Suarez) to get him there.

The Denahi wolf is my favorite transforming toy of the three. Wolves are easily one of my favorite animals, especially compared to the brown bear and the eagle, also the wolf of empathy is my totem based on the totem quiz on the dvd. Sure Denahi never actually transformed in the movie, but it’s not like there was a better gimmick to use. Also the voice actor that played him passed away sometime after the movie’s release, and although these toys came out before then, it still feels like the wolf toy was a way of paying tribute to the character (Sitka’s spirit became an eagle when he died which was his totem, so it would make perfect sense for Denahi’s spirit to become a wolf when he dies)

Interesting that the McDonald's toy Denahi is shown with a half human half wolf form but in the movie he never transformed into a wolf
I think it may have been in honor of Denahi’s voice actor who unfortunately died shortly after the movie’s release.

The transforming ones were the coolest growing up. Too i didnt get one :( my cousins did and they refused to give me there's
1:36 Kenai’s middle brother hasn’t transformed into the 🐺 from the 🎥. Also, I remember having this McDonald’s 🧸, when I was 6 years old.
I believe they gave Denahi that toy gimmick for two reasons
1. They didn’t have a better idea for a gimmick for Denahi, especially given that his brothers Kenai and Sitka share the same one
2. Denahi’s voice actor passed away after the movie’s release, so having his character turn into his spirits animal like what happened to Sitka could be in honor of him

The animal transforming figures of Kenai,Denahi, and Sitka when they all transform into a Bear,a Wolf, and an Eagle in the McDonald's Brother Bear toyline kinda give me Beast Wars vibes, I like it :D

When I was a kid I had Transforming Kenai and two Rutts (I always thought the other Rutt was Tuke).
The animal is call a "Moose!"
