From Black Mamba till Girls we already got aespa with warrior/fighter vibes in Kwangya things.
Now they're telling Real World things (still in role), we got mystical vibes when we heard Welcome To MY World (welcoming naevis) and we got strange phenomenon in Spicy. This is just a start, I'm curious about next story.
I think the strange phenomenon was caused by naevis coming to the real world. Her existence might disrupt the structure of the earth since she's totally from kwangua

If I remember correctly one of the first lines on 'Girls' is Giselle's: "the metaverse is real". So I actually think Hannah is onto something. Plus, all their side track seem to have this similar concept, especially 'I'm Unhappy'.
I'm curious if they decided to leave the hard lore to Naevis debut, which was announced by SM and hinted in 'Welcome to my world' or if they'll do a SMCU episode to clarify.
Btw.. 11.17 is their debut date (Nov 17 2020).

I think it's due to the arrival of Naevis (or who knows if it's a new villain) to the real world. This is causing the world to become unbalanced and the separation of the REAL WORLD with KWANGYA to disappear. It could be that all those things that are happening are Kwangya's things and they happened to reality

I think the main thing and lore of this music video is a strange phenomenon. that is, at the beginning we can see students and aespa girls and then we can see how someone turned on the fire alarm, and everyone began to run away except for the aespa, which means they dgaf about this phenomenon. after which when they dance in the pool we notice that there is no one in the college and they dance while the glitches occur (a strange phenomenon). then I think they had a party at which time seemed to freeze as part of a strange phenomenon, which is interesting that this did not affect the aespa at all ... are they to blame for the strange phenomenon? after we can see them on the street which looks pretty apocalyptic...
but again they dgaf, they're just watching movies and dancing, pretty sus... in general, I am waiting for theorists who will completely analyze and explain the lore

I assumed that the glitches were caused by Naevis entering the Real World, which is why Aespa is so unfazed by it. In the "news report" preview trailer, they act like it's no big deal, maybe to conceal the fact that she's there. But I don't know. There's nothing in the MV that really shows that specifically.

I'm not sure if you guys have seen the first teaser for this era, it was shot as an interview for a news reporter and in that teaser it showed that they don't care about the phenomenon and that it is "nothing new" as they've dealt with something like this before aka black mamba
this mv has real big early-00s pop queen energy and i dig it. karina legit looks like early-era avril lavigne in some of those shots.
Loved your reaction! I really enjoyed the discussion on the lore in the MV, because in my opinion, the lore/universe is half the fun of aespa's whole concept. I'm definitely feeling the time loop and alternate reality theories, especially considering the track videos as well.
Some random lore that I want answered eventually is the significance of certain colours for this comeback, the members are in specific colours in that last ending car scene and there seemed to be specific colour themes in the track videos and the significance of eyes in the music videos/track videos. We've seen many shots of Karina's eye in older MVs, there was her green eye in Salty and Sweet, and the eye puzzle in I'm Unhappy.
aespa didn't change their concept, after defeated black mamba and naevis lost her power,they turning to real world with naevis with this album's songs..
Spoiler : in the next full album they would be battle again, and the clue is in spicy's MV

I don't know much about the lore because I haven't watched any of the story videos, but I feel like this "era" will show the girls living in the real world outside of the world where ae lives, considering they already defeated the Black Mamba, there's no conflict there anymore and they can continue their lives as it was before. We've seen glimpses of the "real world" before like with Life's Too Short.

I feel like theyre in alternate universe where they are the spicy kind of girls perhaps a different version of themselves who's causing the strange phenomenon thus, the unfazed attitude. Since I noticed that they literally spawn from the air along with the pink car, and everytime they dance in the pool they trigger a glitch, then they were able to trigger time freeze as well
I think its a different vibe but the type of background noise/instruments are similar from previous tt, and bsides too. I love it❤

This comeback really did not disappoint me, it was everything I expected from aespa, so addictive and the MV is incredible
Alright to explain the song along with the teasers they put out, the glitching is happening because it's the aftermath of what happened after the battle with the Black Mamba but for some reason, aespa's pretending the 'strange phenomenon' doesn't exist (there's a teaser where they're being interviewed about all the glitching and the strange objects pouring into the real world and they're acting unfazed by it all), to the point where their in-universe fans are concerned about them throwing a party after a big disaster but the media's saying fans shouldn't worry about them and how they're acting or something. Basically after the fight they're taking a break, we don't know if this is before or after Welcome To My World, it's most likely after, after they're done being sad over Naevis' disappearance. Now for some reason, Naevis disappeared again or they may be hiding her in the real world but we don't know why.
And also, their teasers are about the phenomenon going around them, and they get interviewed about it.

I think you guys are absolutely on point with the metaverse/parallel world theory. The title for the pre-release is Welcome to MY world instead of welcome to real world. I think here MY is capitalized for some reason. Also, in Girls on the bridge, there was a line going "Naevis on the real MY world" , which grammatically makes no sense. If we understood MY world as a place parallel to the REAL WORLD, it explains everything including the strange phenomenon.

my theory, Spicy is timeline after they defeat Black Mamba and before Welcome To My World timeline
My meaning is the most precious friend from kwangya and is the fandom name of aespa.
While season 1 focusing on kwangya, season 2 (starting with spicy) will be focusing on REAL WORLD
as you can see in their mv and teaser there's glitching, bouncing furry balls, car falling from the sky etc or what they called it "a strange phenomenon" happen in real world. The cause of this phenomenon still a mystery but fans speculated that this happened because of 'after effects' from fighting black mamba.

Y'all pretty much got it! the overall theme of the album is there being a strange phenomenon happening in the (MY) world (the glitching, the balloon words in the sky seen at the end, things changing physical form as you can see in their album teaser shorts) and everyone is panicking it seems but the girls aren't bothered and are throwing a party. i assumed it's because it has something to do with naevis coming and interfering with the world since she has never been to earth and seems more powerful than other ae? and since aespa know her they aren't as scared. so yea theres definitely lore but it's a bit lighter and more shown in details now that they aren't in kwangya anymore. You guys make interesting points with the different universe thing though so I'm excited to see the next SMCU episode after this and/or how the next comeback title track goes.
