Please, don't pause first listen.... Please. It's becoming frustrating to watch. And you're ruining your own experience. It's only 3 minutes. It's good directing, editing but you're destroying all this work. It's like turn off electricity in the middle of dj set or a movie. It's bad. But when it's packed in only 3 minutes it's even worse.

The "Sharp eye, inside it's toxic" line by Karina reminded me of Black Mamba and how we go into her eye to show her being possessed by BM.
Hey, great point! I didn't think of that. But the black oil in her eye, zooming in on the BM..... Yep, that's a callback to their debut.
Why aren't u guys suspicious at Karina... she's the one singing that she is new (villain) and a baddie and then giselle and ningning were like (O_O OMG, say what?), and in the car scene K was driving (controlling) while other members only looked like they were just enjoying the car ride(looked bored or some daydreaming) and then the car accident happened, but after that karina burned the car like she totally planned the accident... but turned out Giselle was alive and watching from on top of a roof that Karina burned the car... and Winter and Ningning was alive too and they're riding motorcycles... I think Ningning and Winter suspect each other at first, but anyway the three members were trying to kill Karina ... did u see how the evil look Karina gave Winter when they were sword fighting... and in the end Winter was trying to Push K off the roof but K said "DRAMA" and she didn't push her off. Winter didn't say anything when Ningning trying to push her off. And in the end off better things MV K was smiling! you guys still remember that Black Mamba controlled Karina and her eyes turned black in Black Mamba MV, right?? K is the key here.
also winter only counted 1 2 3 and giselle's was 432, which means 1 member wasn't included/ false like the car number 1110... and then Karina said 1,2 it's time to go in dark make up, and then Winter + Ningning fell off the bulding

If you watch Winter in every MV that has lore so not their Christmas song, etc. she gradually gets more sexy as the MVs progress and you can see that she slowly gets more comfortable with herself which ya gotta love and respect her grind. The other girls too but it seems to be more prominent with Winter.

I am ngl winter's long frizzy hairstyle and then her hitting those high notes was a lot to handle.
The villian is thereselves. All past hurdles in kwangya is done and over. the enemy is in the real world now thats why the last lyrics said "it starts with you, MY drama" the story in the kwangya already ended because the Drama/Story will start with them now on the real world. They are the MAIN CHARACTER now on their own story that's why they are THE DRAMA.
Makes me think of the idea that we're responsible for our own realities, and we can let the villainous side of us win and define our experience, or let our "ideal" (ae) selves win, or land somewhere in between. We are the creators of our own worlds, and the drama we experience is often either drama we bring ourselves or vengeful desires due to traumas we've experienced in life (similar to the themes in the intro videos)
I literally have not been into aespa since savage era and oh my god they blew me away!! Karina’s first chorus and literally winter throughout the whole thing were my highlights, they’re my bias line and holy crappp what happened to winter this era bc WOWOWOWOW.

To me it feels like the rules at the beginning are either how to escape from drama or how to create it/make it worse :
1) "Look immediately when you feel a presence in the dark" -> react quickly each time you have a bad feeling = making the drama worse because you react with emotion without thinking
2) "if your reflection in the mirror tries to shake your hand, do not let it" -> be scared of yourself, doubt, don't trust yourself, don't accept this part of you = letting the drama going even if it hurts you and your self esteem
3) "Light can blind your eyes. Run away at full speed" -> let things happen in the shadow, talk in the back of others, hide your self, hide the drama = making the drama worse again because of lacks of communication and people acting bad in peoples back
Now the 4th rule says that the only way to escape is to do the opposite :
1) Don't react to quickly when something bad happens or if you have a bad feeling, take your time to make wise decision after looking at the situation
2) Accept who you are, trust yourself, don't be scared to act
3) Don't hide, don't let other hide themselves either, be authentic, don't lie, bring light and truth to clear the drama

Actually, My World and Drama is a whole album but they divide it into 2 minis. So there're a big probability that My World and Drama are connect to each other in the same timeline. Well, the SMCU season 2 hopefully can answer to that, hopefully it will release before the 1st full album next year
I don’t know if I’m the only one, but if we look back at the last episode of SMCU season 1, boa destroyed the sculpture of black mamba, but boa turned red and and had black clothes on. In this MV it’s mostly red and black aesthetics, so couldn’t it be that Aespa is possessed by something evil and that’s why they have drama between them, like it’s a revenge from the evil? Idk, it’s just one of my theories 😭
I keep thinking about that actually. Season 2 already started, Spicy was an introduction to that and now with Drama we get to see what was BoA planning and doing to get her revenge on the girls @@martinlkkegard7992

one of the bops of aespa again, the warning is important to the story, 1 and 2 means about the other self and the last line refers to Karina's trailer, the narrator keeps saying the opposite of words. in the music video Karina 1v3 them lmao because I think her other self killed the 4 of them and and other 3 wants revenge and squared up with Karina, in Giselle drama another Giselle is watching at the door when Giselle is arguing with Becky, Winter other self took revenge and real winter is crying, NingNing basically fell in love with other self but Karina is the only other self in the drama teasers that wants to bring down herself and is looking at Karina billboard burning and is plotting something. maybe Karina in teaser didn't shake the hand of other Karina or she didn't accept her other self. so drama indeed xD
tldr from what I knew: Karina is the Villain and Winter is the Main Character (on the lyrics)
wait this goes with what I was thinking about karinas other self talking to her really cruelly in the mirror way back and the scenes where it zoomed into her eye and looked like something was taking over. so maybe the girls went in and fought black mamba, came back to the real world thinking it was over but karina brought something back with her and it's taking over the girls and causing the drama. black mamba has always been "savage" and brought drama to aespa lore 👀 and and and "with my world behind me" could be referring to leaving kwangya and bringing the drama into the real world to end the cycle. or maybe not black mamba related but I do think something that started back then and came here through karina

anyway about this MV, i think there's something tied to the black&white scenes vs color. bc there's one repeated scene of Karina slicing through people, but the first time (around 1:00 in the MV) it's in b&w but then it's in color (around 3:00). i'm thinking there's some kind of hallucination/dream/time travel. and yes, I think there's something going on with disguise and true/false, as was in Karina's trailer
I've been getting hallucination quest in real world since the short videos, I still think that it is, like they're fighting against the deep fake that's causing the drama which also seen on savage mv as well as the glass breaking at the end, so I believe it's still very much tied in their lore
I feel like the whole thing about the MV not relating to lore is strictly about the aes because that’s the only thing they addressed and explicitly denied and said they were in real world, which I can see their aes aren’t present at all but there’s definitely lore here I think

This is the first time that we can't really give a definitive answer on who owned this song because all of them ate it up and left no crumbs. Like seriously. It is well distributed from the lines and screentime. This is obviously a frontrunner for SotY no doubt about it.

im finally recovering from autistic burnout thats had me in zombie mode since july and i'm finally fully enjoying kpop again and the amount of happy stimming i'm doing already is so nice. i love aespa because of you guys and i always love watching things first with/through you guys because it helps me not get overwhelmed and just go "ahhh i hate it" (again, i'm autistic so new music is usually hard for me to enjoy unless i really love the group already or the song is just that good). anyway, thank you guys for this video and everything else you do, i think my gf karina is wants me dead this comeback and every comeback
I was surprised at first when I saw the runtime on this video, but I really enjoyed the breakdown and analysis! As someone with no knowledge of the lore I got insight into lots of little details and connections I had missed and likely would never have caught. I enjoyed the song and the music video to begin with, but this reaction really gave me a lot more appreciation for both. Thanks so much for the extra long video!
I also think that Seulgi's 28 Reasons could have something to do with the universe. If you notice in 1:38 of 28 Reasons, Seulgi has the same injury on her neck that Karina has in the teaser. Also the duality of the good and evil thing for 28 Reasons and the duality of the teasers was insane. I also think that Seulgi could be a major character (maybe villan or anti hero?) because the outfit she wears in Feel My Rhythm seems really intruiging. We're also getting Chill Kill from Red Velvet on the 13th and I think that could also somehow be connected based on the teaser.
Sidenote: I also think that BoA has long since been teased and connected. We got the teaser in the last episode they did of the black mamba saga, but I also noticed that in her MV for The Greatest, the tower she's in looks like the same tower that was in Girls where the Black Mamba's heart resided. The lyrics are also really really interesting.

Regarding the katana, it seems like all the members are holding it, this doesn't seem to be about their job but it's about who is the main character, and I think each member is the main character,Because it seems like they are fighting one by one, that means they are defending themselves. But finally there is a scene where Ningning lets go of Winter's hand and lets Winter fall But in the end Ningning also fell, perhaps to save Winter in the end. That's what I think, sorry if I'm wrong✌️

some thoughts while on 3rd watch, ive always wanted multiple watches, karina pointing to her eye reminds me of when they go into her eye in one of the old mvs and it gets black and smoky, also the mirrors and how badrina in the mirror had that speech about how she would take over and no one would want the real karina anymore. also the end saying "it starts with you, MY" bc that's the fandom name so almost like, the fans like the bad version so the drama starts with us. also that savage move always reminded me of a snake so I wonder if maybe black mamba is back and in the real world now trying to take over the the real aespa's image. possibly caused the crash and the bad ones walk/ride away. I think it's interesting that the roof scenes are in black and white so we can't see their eye colors . I love lore so much. I'm so excited for that video to come out. thank you for going in depth, it is one of my favorite things and now I feel like I've had 5 shots of espresso because this was so fun

Winter in Black Mamba and Winter in this are 2 separate people! She went from cute and innocent in BM to sexy and badass in this! Don't get me wrong she's still cute and will always be cute but going from gentle and meek to someone you don't want to anger is a pretty drastic change. You can substitute Winter for Ning and it'd be just as accurate. The development of their personality and confidence is really impressive.

great reaction and analysis of the lore. I got vibes of world clashing (multiverse style) where the bad dopplegangers are going round killing the girls (would link to MVs like I'm unhappy, if winter was running away from evil dopplergangers) and so in this vid the good side are taking the fight to the evil dopplegangers. I think Karina fighting with the sword is repping the good side against the evil versions of ningning, giselle and winter (although its unclear who wins between evil winter and karina since it cuts to the blood splatter of "Drama"). The very end feels like 2 sides are squaring off (all black vs the more red/black dress versions).
Also if you rewatch the first album trailer vid "aespa 에스파 'Drama' The Scene | Mood Sampler" , the narration feels like its coming from the evil dopplegangers directly too.

I think the intro just means:
1. Don't look back at your dark past
2. Look at yourself in the mirror and make peace with yourself
3. Follow the light
1. in ep.2 naevis told aespa to never look back in kwangya & rule 1 is to not look back when you feel a dark presence. in savage winter looked back (also in her hallucination) and here everyone looks back except karina
2. also you can see winter and ningning turning around and seeing each other, but has no scenes in that room, but shes always seen in that big dark room (where theyre dancing) and it kinda looks like the hallucination. so i think giselle is still stuck in her hallucination (maybe thats also where i‘m unhappy takes place)
3. the car scene in drama reminds me of welcome to my world and they were on their way to meet naevis, but in drama bad aespa stops the car (dont really have an explanation yet)

The MV has a matrix reference (the jumping scene), theres a lot of RED and BLUE, so maybe the blue eyes have something with not knowing the truth/being manipulated
