I'm American, but watch a lot of British television. I confess, I'd never watched the series "Benidorm." Your travel videos got me interested and I'm now on binge watching the series. I'm now on series 2. 🙂

It's called "suffering for your art". Cannot believe you were determined to walk through your injury! Well done. You and Sharon would have loved one of those tandem mobility scooters! I would not be able to do half what I do without my scooter here on the Kent coast in the UK. I found your review of different areas very useful. I prefer quiet not noisy hotels etc, which is why I did not want to go to Benidorm but you have made me reconsider. Thank you and looking forward to the rest of your informative blogs.
Brings back happy memories. I used to go there with mum back in the seventies and early eighties and loved it. It is what it is and all the better for it. A lot has stayed the same but there are some changes especially with the far end of the Levante beach. that rocky area at the end of the beach used to have just a few villas and small apartments but now there are those huge towers. i used to rent a moped and explore over there and there were lots of beautiful small bays to go swim in.

Really enjoying your daily vlogs and exploring. Benidorm is some where that has never appealed, but you have shown that it’s a very interesting and cosmopolitan resort.. something for everyone. Not going in high season is probably the key depending on what you want! Enjoy the rest of you holiday and thanks for the daily outings😊
Loved the walk this morning didn't like your meal it made me feel quite sick I'll stick to my paella yellow rice and all sea food out of shells they all have their individual taste lovely but good on you ,you gave it a go please Sharon don't walk so fast I cannot keep up 😅
The paella contained squid ink (black) that gives a fish taste and a black colour to the rice. It's a very traditional, classic addition to seafood paella so it wasn't overcooked or burnt.
I wondered as, to me, the paella looked overcooked. I didn't realise there'd be squid ink, included. I love paella but have never had squid ink included ( well, maybe I have, but I didn't realise it 😊) The calamari plate was probably intended as a dish, as part of a tapas. Not just to be eaten alone.
Loving the videos, nice to see the sun and blue skies. I think you must be accident prone Martin. I can see you've both caught the sun. It's so funny when you speed Sharon up. I thought your meal was quite substantial, you would have thought they would have served some kind of bread with it. Poor Sharon must have been starving that was shocking for a main meal, you'd think you would have had at least some chips and a better salad and some bread. When we used to go to Turkey we got either garlic or flat bread at the start of the meal. One time we went to Bulgaria and John asked for a tomato salad and that's all he got was one tomato sliced with some black pepper on it. We often laugh about it. Anyway i enjoyed following your walk out
Calamari is usually served, either as a Starter, or as a plate included in a Tapas meal.( well, in my experience) So it would be accompanied by several other plates of Tapas food. I've never seen it served as a main meal. If that was the case, in this Restaurant, they should be ashamed.(, I'm guessing it wasn't a main, because the paella was a normal 'main meal' serving for 1-2 people) I'm a Brit , lucky enough to live in Europe, I love the vibes of al fresco dining with families all enjoying time together . And I adore the fresh sea food. Glad you seem to have enjoyed your holiday

Hiya. You two make me smile. So laid back and chilled. I stayed in Gemelos. One of the two towers at the end of the beach on Levante. Hen do. We were high up. Amazing views and no noise. But the cardiac hill was a killer after a night out. 😆🤣 The reception part was in another place. The pink house. I think. That's it, you're on holiday. And eat what you like. Authentic Chinese cuisine. 😆🤣😂Sharon sets you straight. Haha. Brilliant. Loved the series. I have the box set in its little suitcase. Great video. Happy Thursday.

Amazing, as previously mentioned we sat next to you at breakfast in the Prince Park not knowing you were making a video for TH-cam until we saw ourselves in it. Then we see you at the restaurant where you had the paella, "La Bahia" which was one of the first restaurants that we visited in Benidorm and became our favourite for a while.

Loved the video, you should have went to a Spanish bar in the old town for your Spanish meal, were you were was for the tourist trade it was in the tourist part a real rip of, you should have have double the rice in that paella. Poor sharon was still hungry. ❤😊

Hey Guys Benidorm was filmed behind that hotel thats why you couldnt see it. Its on the main road going towards the big outdoor market. Theres a fence with a hedge they planted so they could film in private.
We always have fish and chips and Sunday roast on holiday, you’re right Sharon, we eat what we want, you probably know by now as its a year on, you can go to the Solana pool through reception, we just walked in off the street. Thanks for another great vlog x

The problem with taking antibiotics for every little thing leads to becoming immune to them. That is why they are strictly on prescription here in the UK.

Realy enjoying your Benidorm videos. Just a little way on from Los Pelicanos, is Las Ocas. Next door to that is a fantastic indoor market. Just fabulous, and Shiela's money exchange always has a good exchange rate.
Another famous place in the Old Town is Tapas Alley, ask anyone where it is but it's not far from your hotel. You will be amazed by the Tapas on show, I recommend you go have a look. You were near there the other day xx
Good video again ,we enjoyed that. The Levante Beach front and bars where you walked along is actually dead at night probably from 10pm or soon after onwards , so no real noise if you were staying in one of the few hotels along the front, it;s actually very quiet indeed. It's busy a few streets back, around the British Square, a few places don't close till around 5 or 6am ,

I've been to benidorm 4 times in last 5 years, never stayed at sol peniocas "solana"...I've always just walked straight into the hotel and pool areas no one says anything to you, so just go straight into reception area up 2 or 3 steps straight ahead of you then turn left towards doors to the pool area....obviously if your still there 👍
Hi I’m a regular at the Hotel Sol Pelicanos, the wrist bands indicate the board level that you have booked, b&b half board, full board etc. You can visit the pool area by walking through reception go down the steps left of the lifts and walk outside to the pool area. have fun exploring… Pete

We stayed in that hotel, and when they were filming they had half the pool closed off with a wooden type fence, but did not see any filming, love you guys ❤❤
People who look down their nose at benidorm have never been. For the price you pay it's got everything you want for a cheap family holiday in the sun. We are booked up for the sol pelicanos in August this year. Can't wait to get back to Beni!

You should have got s double mobility scooter! We get one every time we go. We can't walk very far do they are great. Just be careful where you park them! They are such fun! Another great vlog. Loving seeing Benidorm. Can't wait to go back!

lovely to watch you both, I want to go to Benidorm just to experience it. Re-watched the shows last year, was never really into it originally but in the current day and age found it all very entertaining. Shame how it sort of fizzled out, unfortunately something like that would never be made today by the mainstream media. We do have very good dramas on the streaming channels but not really any great comedy I feel. Was it me or was that Paella quite thin on rice which would be odd as probably the cheapest component !?!

Years ago i asked for a tomato salad which was on the menu as a main in ibiza, thats all i got. Still laugh like you about it to this day lol

Realy enjoying your Benidorm videos. Just a little way on from Los Pelicanos, is Las Ocas. Next door to that is a fantastic indoor market. Just fabulous, and Shiela's money exchange always has a good exchange rate.
Another famous place in the Old Town is Tapas Alley, ask anyone where it is but it's not far from your hotel. You will be amazed by the Tapas on show, I recommend you go have a look. You were near there the other day xx

The Levante Beach front and bars where you walked along is actually dead at night probably from 10pm or soon after onwards , so no real noise if you were staying in one of the few hotels along the front, it;s actually very quiet indeed.
It's busy a few streets back, around the British Square, a few places don't close till around 5 or 6am ,
Another fantastic video Martin that looked rank lol and there is certainly a lot of mobility scooters even a double one which i have never seen before 👍👍👍👍

I've been to benidorm 4 times in last 5 years, never stayed at sol peniocas "solana"...I've always just walked straight into the hotel and pool areas no one says anything to you, so just go straight into reception area up 2 or 3 steps straight ahead of you then turn left towards doors to the pool area....obviously if your still there 👍
Hi I’m a regular at the Hotel Sol Pelicanos, the wrist bands indicate the board level that you have booked, b&b half board, full board etc.
You can visit the pool area by walking through reception go down the steps left of the lifts and walk outside to the pool area. have fun exploring… Pete

We stayed in that hotel, and when they were filming they had half the pool closed off with a wooden type fence, but did not see any filming, love you guys ❤❤

We went to Benidorm a few weeks ago that was our 3rd time just went for 5 nights loved it hopeing to go newt year😊
People who look down their nose at benidorm have never been. For the price you pay it's got everything you want for a cheap family holiday in the sun. We are booked up for the sol pelicanos in August this year. Can't wait to get back to Beni!

You should have got s double mobility scooter! We get one every time we go. We can't walk very far do they are great. Just be careful where you park them! They are such fun! Another great vlog. Loving seeing Benidorm. Can't wait to go back!

lovely to watch you both, I want to go to Benidorm just to experience it. Re-watched the shows last year, was never really into it originally but in the current day and age found it all very entertaining. Shame how it sort of fizzled out, unfortunately something like that would never be made today by the mainstream media. We do have very good dramas on the streaming channels but not really any great comedy I feel. Was it me or was that Paella quite thin on rice which would be odd as probably the cheapest component !?!
