Y'know, I watched the whole show, a rewrite, and THEN watched this. I kinda want you guys to react to the rewrite I saw (fanmade "comic") Made by Kiwi Queen 13, But contains blood, and is a bit more realistic

This ending makes me cry every time even though I watch this series 100 times saying goodbye is never a happy thing specially if they never going to come back😢
Yeah me too i always cry when steven does. His cry feels so real. He tries to laugh it off at first but then the dam finally breaks and it just comes out finally like it needed to and its just a release of his pain and it makes me cry every single time no matter how many times i see it
There’s something really beautiful to me about Steven being healed from Corruption by his own tears. Previously we’ve seen Corruption healed by the combined tears of all four Diamonds, and here, everyone, including the other Diamonds, cried into the ocean for Steven. But he couldn’t actually be healed until he cried for himself (which he was able to do because of the support of his people).
Im not really sure if Steven was corrupted though, it more so felt like his powers were taking over like when we saw that he can age based off of his mentality like when get got so old he almost died, and when he turned back into an infant after pretending to be older all day and finally broke down. This more so feels like it was again his mentality of seeing himself as a monster that caused this, rather than corruption
"WHERE WAS LION" had me dead This is such a beautiful end to the series. Seeing that he hasn't fully healed but is working on it. Seeing how everything he helped everyone through comes back for them to help him. Peridot sums up my feelings better than anything "where am I gonna find another steven as good as you?" And I still feel that way. Thanks for the great reaction series!

As someone with C-PTSD this series meant everything to me. I’d never felt so seen and I’d never seen what I was going through portrayed so blatantly and without glamour. It is a terrible disorder that can make you feel like there’s no way to ever improve. This series told me that it was okay to be the way I was and that it’s possible to get better. Steven Universe will always be my favorite show.
i’m always saying this!!! it depicts growing into c-ptsd so well especially from a goodie-two shoes kid. it doesn’t matter how ~good or strong~ one views themselves to be when trying to heal from trauma. the cycle of ego death can be suffocating(but dbt and meds helped me!! sending yall c-ptsd havers love!!)
as someone who has problems with emotional situations and generally being often unable to cry due to it, the lion part always gets me, I really don't know why but I always break down when I see it. I will always cherish this show for making me able to understand my own emotions more ♥
what really gets me is that Zach Callison was also going though some really tough mental health issues him self around the time of the end of Steven Universe and the start of future I think. So I just know that he related very much to him in this and the voice acting is just so good because it feels so raw sometimes ya know? especially there at the end. I Have so much more Respect for him after seeing Future, not that I didn't respect him before lol
although amythest's story isn't the most integral to the story, its just so personal to me. her "i know it seems like you'll never like yourself, but its possible man!" makes me cry more as an adult more than it did when i was a mid-teen i love her
The last 2 episodes were so sad and heartbreaking. Steven as a corrupted monster was insane. Everybody saying their goodbyes was the hardest part I've watched. I enjoyed watching Steven Universe future with you guys 😭😭😭💔💔💔

Such an amazing and impactful show with beautiful messages. I don't know if you've already seen it, but Bee and Puppy Cat is a really good cartoon. It is only 1 season but it gives me the same vibes as Steven Universe with its art style and music. I think you would really like it.

This episode is so special to me. Not only does it get me teared up every time but this episode came out exactly 2 months before I moved out on my own. Early in the the morning after I packed the last of my stuff in the car and hugged my mom goodbye and started driving, I turned my iPhone on shuffle and this was the first song that played. I literally started balling while driving. The thought that I’m finally on my own and not around family anymore but it’s a new chapter of my life. Thank you for sticking to this series till the end. And thank you for sharing in all the tears us fans cried throughout the years

Y'all I'm so glad I caught up for the finale. I have loved your reactions all the way through. SUF had such a huge impact on my life. I had a queer family in the 80s, when homophobia was so normal, that "maybe kids could not say f*g or play 'smear the queer' or "AIDS touch' anymore was seen as a completely impossible and unreasonable ask by my elementary school administration. Like Steven I had this weird wonderful family that loved me, and like Steven's family mine all had deep generational pain and baggage (see: being queer in the 60s when it was even worse) and we were also surrounded by outside threats, just for being us. We were right, the cause was righteous, and the world we made is so much better, we changed their minds! But boy having to be a child soldier is hard. And boy being different from everyone else is hard. And boy being a kid who knows that the adults around them are broken, and the world is scary, and they have to step up and keep everyone together.... damn is that all so real. I felt i so much, and it's one of the reasons I started therapy. And WOW it turns out when you face the truth together (thank you Garnet!) everything starts to get better! Also, diagnosing and treating my undiagnosed depression and ADHD... I never knew my brain could be such a mostly-not-terrible place to be! So many thanks to Rebecca Sugar and the Crewniverse, I know I'm not the only grown-ass adult, much less child who needed to hear this story, And thanks to y'all, Sputnik an Indi, I really enjoyed your thoughts on the show. I thought I had really gotten all there was to get of SUF, but in the last ep you said, "He gives so much space for others' flaws, and not an inch for his own." OW. Thanks for that one, I'm going to think on it. Excited for She-Ra! Nothing quite climbs to the heights of ATLA & SU in my heart, but She-Ra sure is great. (If there is anything else as good as ATLA & SU, it's Infinity Train. Seriously, watch Infinity Train, even if it doesn't blow away the view counter. All the crying scenes with all the gems both squad A and B were a reference to Crying Breakfast Friends. It's so cool to still have that humour in the tears, literally happy tears. Also, Cookie Cat was our introduction to Steven and the gems and how they care for him in the first episode so it's fitting to have it here in the final episode and this time Steven gifts it to the gems.
This was such a wholesome, simple ending, I love it so much! From what I've seen on Twitter n' stuff recently, Rebecca has been talking a bit about SU recently... maybe, possibly, hopefully it'll come back soon?... PLEASE REBECCA- But seriously, this show was amazing at storytelling and representation and music... AAAAHHHH... and your reactions were also awesome! I'll tell you: Rebecca Sugar had me wrapped around their little finger with that last episode. I was thinking it was going in some sort of strange "it's time to be mature about this, not everything is about me" direction. My emotional journey through the episode exactly mirrored Steven's, to the point where at the end, as he was driving away, and then screeched back and confronted his family... I was desperate, I was panicking, I needed to know right then and there what the heck was going on with everybody. And the catharsis. Ohhhh the catharsis. I can't think of any more perfect way to end this series that no one wanted to end.

I'd prefer episodes focusing on other characters to check in with the "universe" without Steven. A Nephrite adventure, bringing in Morganite like they considered, MORE SPINEL PLEASE! But keeping Steven absent so that if they bring him back into focus it'll make it even more satisfying~
largely lurking viewer for a good chunk of the series. my favourite person left to fly back home again today and i think watching this now was just the cry i needed. not very verbal (certainly not as much as i would like to be) but you guys' su videos have been a huge joy to me and im excited for when i inevitably go through and watch it all over again with you :)
Steven calling himself a monster dings VERY VERY true for folks suffering for intense trauma. The process of something happening out of a control (disregulated emotions related to flashbacks are common, for instance) leads to not knowing what to do, clamping down or seek strict control, more outbursts, and they end up blaming themselves for "doing bad things" and "I'm a monster" is common and self blame is very common. A lot of it is very much out of his control, and gaining control requires safely processing and working on that trauma. Jasper's training COULD have done that, if he hadn't ended up shattering her, confirming his own fears of himself and taking all that build up in a bad direction, if someone else had been there to emphasize control while pushing limits.
The best thing about finishing a series you love is that you can go back and rewatch the episodes that made you the happiest. Listen to the songs again too.
Steven universe has literally been in my life since I was 13 (I'm 24) and I remember so clearly being in a very bad spot in life when this came out. It was so cathartic to cry with Steven, with the gems and I can honestly say it saved my life. Steven universe is probably the most important piece of media in my life. It made me who I am, it made me get into making music, I started drawing because of Rebecca Sugar and I still love this show and will probably love it forever. I rewatch it probably 2-4 times a year and I cry every time it ends. Thanks for sharing your journey through Steven's universe. ❤
There are rumblings that Rebecca Sugar may be revisiting SU again esp in light of Adventure Time getting more episodes online. Don’t get your hopes up, but don’t lose hope either.

ive seen steven from the start, at the time i didn't know it would be so important to me, i remember the steven universe channels with theories, some good or some bad (like onion is white diamond haha), people fight about rose being or not pink diamond, my fav character was and still is lapis lazuli and... seeing other people react is like watching steven universe for the first time again. this show help me with my mental health my orietation and much more... i cant say a favorite moment because there are just so many, i just can be thankfull with rebecca, the crewuniverse and you guys, even with all this years without steven i still miss him and the gems. at the end i am greatful of being part of the steven universe .

Major credit to Sputnik! I've watched many reactions to this show, but he the only person I've seen get through these last two episodes without a single tear. Mate got choked up, frowned a lot, sure, but not a single tear. Well done. But yeah, such a great show that leaves everyone emotionally compromised. If you need one fun thing to watch related to Steven, I recommend Pearl's Secret Rap Career. It's made by MKAtwood, the person who would go on to host the official SU podcast, and even gets a couple of official VAs involved. The official playlist is missing 4 videos, though; "Steven's secret...parts 1-3" and "Spinel finds out..." so if you do decide to check it, don't wanna miss those ones.

Steven universe has literally been in my life since I was 13 (I'm 24) and I remember so clearly being in a very bad spot in life when this came out. It was so cathartic to cry with Steven, with the gems and I can honestly say it saved my life. Steven universe is probably the most important piece of media in my life. It made me who I am, it made me get into making music, I started drawing because of Rebecca Sugar and I still love this show and will probably love it forever. I rewatch it probably 2-4 times a year and I cry every time it ends. Thanks for sharing your journey through Steven's universe. ❤

ive seen steven from the start, at the time i didn't know it would be so important to me, i remember the steven universe channels with theories, some good or some bad (like onion is white diamond haha), people fight about rose being or not pink diamond, my fav character was and still is lapis lazuli and... seeing other people react is like watching steven universe for the first time again. this show help me with my mental health my orietation and much more... i cant say a favorite moment because there are just so many, i just can be thankfull with rebecca, the crewuniverse and you guys, even with all this years without steven i still miss him and the gems. at the end i am greatful of being part of the steven universe .
