good on you for bringing attention to this issue. tfm has never been a good speedgame due to its sheer randomness: the game is not deterministic, lower ping means lower time, your grip is random, it works differently on different standalones, maps can be edited after having been added to a rotation which invalidates all the records set on the old version of the map, and atelier has not fixed game-changing bugs such as usebug or spawn with cheese bug
That's unfortunately a reality. There's not any effective way of proving someone is hacking or not, the only way should be asking for the person for the raw footage, just like in Geometry Dash. But honestly, no one even wants to deal with this as the community is already small. Nowadays we have to trust, but we also have no one to really trust. The only thing I can trust is the historic of someone, and even with that it can be suspicious. I won't mention anyone, but I know several people who used macro to beat recs while they were claiming not to use. There's no time to restart a records sheet anymore, but we can all still show what we are capable of and how effort can grow upon a little brat hacking.

The most stupid thing is that 90% of the world records videos now are people doing the same maps again and again, improving the recs by 0.03s on full wj maps. Like what's the point doing that I don't care seeing a perfect wj I want some nice gameplays man. And yes anyway the game doesnt have anything to give us now, friends are leaving, I just hope I will have some more good moments playing it with you and all the people I met before the game really die :)

It was literally a big part of the game, crucially for racers and it definitely helped players to get better and achieve faster times on maps. It was the games' decision to ban macro however I still believe that anyone using macro is legit; however aside from that, I think we all know most players use programmes other than macro and so I guess it doesn't really matter.

@@MatheusKrolov The underlying problem is that not all PCs had the same key repeat rate..etc therefore programmes like filterkeys were used to play against other players without getting jump locks. I still believe macro is legit as regardless it’s still YOU playing. Also your last statement is true for a very small minority of players, proven by the bans of a lot of respected players in the community; they were clearly banned because a third party programme was detected such as macro.

Personally, I would say make records for personal satisfaction instead of showing off on a sheet that consists of pretty much a dominant number of hacks, edited (maps/multi samples put together), and localhost server records lying left and right. Not to mention that records in general as content aren’t exactly what they used to be once upon a time when clowns didn’t do just about anything to get them done in as short a time period as possible and in all those nasty ways. But genuinely, there’s isn’t much left to care about as the game is pretty much dead, filled with rats that have got god complexes, which is the funniest thing ever. By the way, awesome video, hopefully an eye opener for the dimwits.
"The sheet has been doomed for a very long time" it's not about the sheet? yes there's high, high possibility of bias since the people in charge are literal teenagers doing voluntary 'work' for fun, but anyone with 2 minutes worth of vegas knowledge and 1 minute of ingame mapping knowledge can make a faked video which seems spotless also no shit there will be the odd selection of people that use hacks, because admins never cared once about preventing that, nor have they ever tried communicating with their community to possibly implement their own system regarding speedrunning or for anything at all in this sense and again, there always has been "clowns" that do anything to get records done in short amount of time since the beginning of records, you seem to be lost in the world of nostalgia with that claim the last sentence of your paragraph perfectly describes the state of the game for the past 4-5 years though which is pretty cool

But I was talking about recs that have a little edited trampoline or ground, when players have tried it for hours, they know if it is poss or not. That is how I took down some recs on the sheet already. I knew it was edited as soon as I saw the rec but only on the maps i spent countless minutes xD
