I think it's funny that Paul's using a classic "Ice Man" Ibanez in this one considering he just released his new "Fire Man" model which is basically a reverse Ice Man. I just hope they do some reunion shows here in the states as well.

I love Billy's pose right at the end. The first bass / guitar tapping bit is harder than the second - but ulltimately rewarding. But, who am I kidding? It's one thing to IMITATE, but something totally different to CREATE. Respect to these men; two great heroes of mine.
actually its a LOT easier than it sounds, tap followed by pulloff. youve just gotta keep your left and right fingers alternating, the syncronisation is much harder than the speed. seriously try it, fret 7 with your left hand, then use your little finger to fret and pull off on the 9, then bring your right hand finger down, tap 9, and repeat
relax guys, there was a rumor going around that Paul Gilbert is actually buckethead, only later did ppl find out that they have similar licks because paul taught buckethead at GIT.

bigroy38, I know what you mean. "Be with You" was a complete waste of time. Many bands with this much talent completely blow it with absurd balads. But when Mr. Big let loose and Billy and Paul turned it up they were as good as it gets. This much talent is a rare thing indeed. You and I will never play this well. Peace.

these two exceeds the normal talent that someone can have... i mean "oh, he is a very talented musician, cool" but you can't say that refering to Paul and Billy because their abilities exceeds what we can call ''normal'', lol, they're insane
Its a regular left hand trill hammer on and pull off with the right hand adding an additional/alternating hammer on and pull off in-between. Sounds faster than it really is because it's a flurry of four notes.
there's some times Billy uses distortion on some of his rythms which kinda ''kills'' that whole bass groove thing, but he IS one of the greatest of all time ... so this comment will not matter one bit
Too bad most of society is playing video games, drinking soda pop, singing karoke, playing guitar hero (which isn't always bad) that virtuoso's may become a thing of the past. We are too damn FAT and LAZY. Enjoy it while we got it.
