- This week we're looking at three crazy tapping lines from the song Addicted To That Rush by Mr Big featuring the amazing Billy Sheehan on bass.
These lines completely blew my mind when I first heard them as a teenager. Each line features a specific set of technical hurdles to overcome and the third line in particular is SAVAGE!

Damn, I would have loved to have this tutorial breaking down the song into more manageable portions when I originally tried to learn it in 1989-90. It makes me feel like I could actually learn these tapping portions of the song that seemed so impossible when looking at the tab in Guitar Player magazine.

Only one that comes to mind right now is Eugene Abdukanov (Jinjer) - he does some great two handed tapping and hammer ons. Great technique.

I'm having problems with the tapping :( it's sounding too low. Maybe i gotta adjust the strings so they get closer to the bass. Any tips?
Billy places his right hand middle finger on top of his index (tapping) finger for extra strength. It does make a difference.
@@qdaveq6597 For me, tapping with 2 fingers feels extremely restrictive, since the index and middle fingers are SLIGHTLY different in their speeds, so one always ends up slowing the other down
im trying so hard to play this song when im 17......now im 40....
