Moma Nyandeng, thank you for showing up to support our basketball team. Make South Sudan the best place to live. I am South Sudanese from. AMES Iowa where Dr. John Garang De Mabior got his PHD. ❤
Some personality cult can be sensed here. When John Garang left Iowa, he hanged on the apron of socialism and killed very my separatists until President George Bush started dangling weapons and food on his face in exchange for dislodging Bin Laden from Sudan. So, people like VP Nyandeng and other politicians are really shameless to think they have strike a bottom of superficial unity among S Sudanese.
mama Rebecca Garang thanks for supporting the team and paying tribute to our hero and father of nation Dr.John R.I.P
They should take this opportunity to raise fund for more basketball courts to promote it in the community
The event should be held in a larger venue and collect small fee from the public who will be more than happy to pay to support the national team
Hopefully, my own relatives shouldn't waste their contribution for such a superficial project. Those civilians the SPLA benefited from their free labour during war must never forget how the collectivist mentality of SPLM-IG is convoluted with Machiavellianism. For, since peace was attained, only few individuals are said to have personal budget. Meanwhile, the government uses the sickness of children from communities that should constitute an authentic national team as pawns to get free vaccines. How much does the ministry of sports get yearly, and what do they do with it?
@@nangbafude3128 I understand your and feel your hurts and in this regards
But I think of a community led initiative rather than government or political parties involvement.
Our people especially our so called community leaders need to change their mindset , some some projects such as beatification of our local suburbs, keeping our streets clean, local parks and playground and so on
Of course the local government city council has a big role to play
But in the end the people at the grassroot should start the move
It would have been wonderful if sports were not infused with politics and owned by politicians. For sure, these players can now walk to any S Sudanese village to preach to the village youth the virtue of hard work and patriotism. That is what happens when those who attain basic education in Juba private schools always do even if their material and social capitals are not representative of their audience. But only fools don't know that a lot of dollars have been used to carry these average basketball players from country to country for training, and now it is like they are homegrown. Once the celebration is over, all what some of us want is the rebuild of our economic and educational institutions in the states to the level where the SPLA destroyed in the 1980s. Not everybody is like them who would do anything to displace the Bari from their land because we love our own.
Dear VP of SSD, better create indoor courts to the future of ballers out there... This is nothing, you even not give some food to your people watching the game of your team...
U mean she can't build courts and support basketball with infrastructure other than watching the game and has done nothing
