- HI GUYS! I hope you enjoy this video, we are starting the blonding process on my cute client and I am so happy with the results we got in this first session. We also added frontal tape's for volume and a little length. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Jessi I’m seeing haters. You do great work and I don’t know about you but sometimes clients will not listen either about damage....they want what they want but talking them a few steps down as far as processes is good too. Even if this girl’s hair is damaged, I can guarantee that it feels better due to you doing it than someone else. You can’t tell some of these people no. Keep up the good work!

She wants to be pretty blond , but her natural color is a 7!!! Why did you darken hair base color so much??
Janet Rojas I’m betting it’s because she has a dark band of the dark tat has grown out that is to dark next to her lighter natural regrowth. Since it’s just shades EQ it’s not to permanent and it and the darker band will get lighter over time with each session. If she didn’t do the 5 at the regrowth she would have a candy corn look.
This one would of made me pause with a huge amount of anxiety. You do beautiful work. I know that there are times we as stylists weigh everything about the hair and you were safe as you could be which was awesome. I hope she keeps coming to you and avoids going some place that's not as careful or caring about her hair.

I am glad you did that hair! Different textures have the same issues in common. We could learn so much from each other as different races tackling the same hair issues. Thinning, damage, tension alopecia etc .

Thank goodness for jessi! Her hair was a wreck. I would be absolutely terrified to touch that with any bleach. I would highly recommend leaving it alone! 💁 but once again, jessi comes through with another gorgeous color correction! And 9:40 👀👌
Question? What was the point of doing the paint in between if you basically went and smudged her with the same color in the end? Just curious, I’ve seen quite a few stylists do this and I don’t understand. Could you please help!
Kacey Barrett typically needs full processing time when going darker, especially with hair that is naturally lighter
Because she brought the lightness up with the highlights so she needed to blend the blonde into the dark 😊
Kate Wilkinson then why didn’t she just do that all at once with the smudge at the end. Why do the paint inbetween? I understand if she did the 5n paint inbetween and then formulated a lighter color to smudge with for dimension. But she just used the same color, so why not do it at once?
Because shades is so translucent so on blonde it goes on more like a 6 ish
Kate Wilkinson ok so when she did the paint in-between it turned to a true 5 when she did the smudge it only processed to a 6? That makes sense! Thanks.
I would like to see a full install video of hair wefts. Do you sew your in using a few bead anchors or do you just use the beads? I love seeing all the different ways extensions are installed!!

I'm confused. How can she grow her hair out when it's re-dyed dark brown. Her blonde roots will show. Plus if she wants to be blonder why did you dye her hair dark brown again?
It would have been difficult to get a good lift doing a normal bleach process, and try to bleach the 5 out of the whole head, so because she's doing it slower in more than one process she decided to go for highlights to get maximum lift on those pieces and keep the dark base.
Also she used shades and not a permanent so that will fade out eventually and they'll just bleach more of the 5 permanent out every time she comes in

A true colour correction would be to assess the hairs porosity and integrity, and remove that dark band where the hair is strongest , then balance the ends with minimal damage . Not slap bleach over already broken bleached split ends then dump more pigment just to blur the lines between healthy coloured hair & damaged ends . Your title says going blonde .? Don’t get me wrong I love your videos and your salon is beautiful but sometimes it’s just the same foil & toner videos x

I have troubles with placing tape extensions after a color. How do you advice to do tapes after a coloring.
You color them, wash them with shampoo and can you conditioned the hair or not before the tapes.

Could you have forgone the paint between 5n that the assistant did while you were highlighting since you went back with 5n & 5na for the root smudge? Regarding taking pictures, yes, I'd like some input as when I take them with my phone it seems it NEVER does the color justice. I'm always so disappointed how the photo looks that I never end up posting anything.

Not all hairdressers measure more experienced hairdresser do it by eye as they know the colour well and what works best and they do it all day everyday so they pretty much know the exact consistency it had to be to me perfect ratio
She’s going have no hair left for her wedding if you don’t stop that bleaching! Most hairdressers wouldn’t touch her hair with a bleach ..I was cringing the whole way through that .. why do you add a darker base when she doesn’t want a line and putting a 6 toner so close to bleach you are very lucky it doesn’t go green .
Great job looks so much better. But in my opinion I would stopped the bleaching. Go long or go blond:) at least without extensions.

Mixing lighter with metal is a huge no-no. This whole process wasn’t a healthy choice for her hair. She’ll be coming to you FOREVER for extensions because her hair is so damaged. I guess that’s good for you and she doesn’t care because she wants a look
