My personal favorite formula to bump the base is: Redken Color Fusion 1oz 10Ab w/ 1oz 20 vol. After throughly mixing the formula, add 1oz hot water to mixture. Apply quickly at bowl. It is my #1 go to for heavy foils; as well as my blonde balayage clients.

I always thought I would have to foil every little piece of hair with a blonde retouch! Is there a reason you weave/slice so there’s some hair left out inbetween foils? I have a client coming in for this in a few days and I want to make sure I’m understanding the video correctly 🙂

Just wondered what color line do you use for permanent color? I am trying to pick one that has enough lift. I've only used 2 or 3 lines in the past, so picking a good one has been difficult.
Also how often do you do her hair? I have a bleach and tone client that I’d love to try this on and see if it lets her go longer than 4 weeks.

So how would you go about fixing it if the roots lifted lighter than the ends. How would you get it back to be an even level all over?

What the difference between colorance 9p and shadeseq 9p? I’ve never used colorance
The Eriks Family the tones have been the same for me. The difference is shades is more liquid and colorance is a bit more creamy.
The ends look like they are getting onto part of the applied bleach when the foils get folded. Is there a reason you dont push them out to the side?
If you notice, she folds her foils twice. The first foil contains all of the hair with no lightener. Then she folds the foil up to the hair line. In the first fold, there may be hair that has lightener on it, but it's not overlapping with the dry hair because once folded over, the back of the foil serves as a protective barrier. At that point, the only thing that would cause the dry hair to get lightener on it is if she feathered the lightener down into the dry hair, which she didn't. Take a closer look. Everyone has their own techniques. I think it's more ideal to keep the hair out of the foil if there are a few pieces of hair that would be compromised by any more lightener, but are located in the same zone as hair that you will be adding lightener to. Because she's doing a root retouch, and there's really only a line of demarcation, she can safely foil everything and protect the hair with no product on it, by ensuring that the dry hair is contained within the first fold. If she had a bunch of dark pieces mixed in with super light pieces, that would be a great situation to pull the lighter pieces out of the foil to avoid them being over processed. I hope that makes sense.
@@JV-ut5sw I did notice she folded twice and I do that myself at times depending what I'm doing. Just seemed like it was overlapping but maybe I wasnt paying close attention when I was watching

She said it before she put the toner in, she says it when rinsing out the root toner and mask. Goldwell colourance 10P
How long does it usually take you to put a full head of foils in?
I think she said 45 mins to 1 hour in one of her videos.
