I was there! It was crazy. Everyone cheered for Japan! We loved it! Japonese team is so amazing! They are so respectable and caring with the crowd. At the end the japonese girls danced and we adore that!

@@ajollypanda4175It is common for Brazilians to boo whenever the opponent team is serving, they do that during state competitions as well, don’t make such a big deal out of it. Watch the game between Brazil and Germany, you’ll see the boos there too. Fun Fact: the boo thing in Brazil (specially in competitions) does not have a mocking meaning like it has in other countries.

@@TheSoccermatt10if Ana Christina and Gabi play they might. To me they are the best OH in the world. US team’s biggest weakness is when opponents serve very effective. If they can’t receive and pass the ball, their outside hitters are not good killers. Kim Drews can’t be effective in out of system balls either. They are good when they can use middle players

we Americans were owned
Japan had lost all of its full-set matches, and for Japan, which had lost to Germany in the previous round, winning this match was a very good point leading up to the next match. I believe the reason we were able to win was because the Brazilians at the venue cheered us on as we played.❤❤❤

japan definitelly needed this win more than USA, but USA will bounce back. they have a tough task with brazil up ahead, but i have so much trust in our A team, i think it will at least go the distance of 5 sets.

What a performance by Japan. USA was not on their best zone today. Congratulations to Japan. That 5th set was absolutely dominated by Nippon.
USA didnt play their A team, they played their C team. With that said... Japans attackers were much more aggressive in that 5th set particularly.

Uhm this match was a 5 setter and not a sweep so I don't think calling USA not in their best is invalid. Japan just had a better game plan in the 5th set.

She could have been a total monster on the Open if she had the height of Saori Kimura at least. She's very powerful with her arm swing. It really sucks that she's small while her brother was 6'4. But its great that she's a total package as a volleyball player.

I'm so fed up with the comments of Team B, C, D to Z lol. A win is a win. They are on the national team representing your team so they are more than capable to win. I'm sure the selection is as fierce as it can be. Saying this teams B to Z always discredit the hard work of the winners. I think you also saw that some of the Japanese players are new. LOL
Louder, please! People always have this as their main excuse when top teams lost to a weaker team. I mean top teams still remain as top teams whoever is linedup because they are expected to have the same tall and powerful pool of players. They should also always remember that in sports the ball is round so everybody can beat anyone even when playing their greatest game.
@@aianjimenez7574I think it's because they couldn't accept to lose against smaller teams. I mean USA is a strong team but they were not as strong as compared to previous years. Some of these players that played in the court were pretty much the same last year when Japan defeated them in 3 sets. As long as they don't have Jordan Larson in court, the USA team is just not going to be the same but it looks like she'll be back but she's way too old already! This is pretty much the new A team of USA. Even kelsey robinson is 30 yrs old already.

USA had errors everywhere. Pretty shocked by the performance today. I guess USA has some leeway because they are guaranteed to be part of the quarterfinals?? Wada stepped up and really pulled her team to get that win. Congrats to Japan!

@@ajollypanda4175 it's Kiraly experiment with new players. It didn't work. I mean those are veteran Japanese players and they made bunch of newbies American spin their heads in confusion. A least these new ones experience what it's like to play against a tough defense team in the world.

Actually Kiraly wanted to rest the big squad for the game against Brazil, so this was a young squad and he wanted they step up and do the fight but this time didn’t work and Japan won
