I was there last night and i was stunned by the crowd. Nobody booed Japan even its USA home court. I enjoyed the game and paid my respect to team japan. Congrats to team USA ☺️💪🏼

You can really tell Japan lost so much steam on that 4th set. They fought so hard for that 3rd set that when that 4th set came, they ran out of gas. Defense is Japan’s specialty but endurance is key and they ran out. Amazing game by both teams. Hope for the best Japan in the Olympics ☺️
I watched the match. Usa gave them 12 errors in the 3rd set…japan didn’t lose any steam winning that set…
USA played complaisant in the 3rd set, they gave away half of the set score, due to errors.

I still love Japan’s technique no matter what.
Japan has a great technique and an amazing defense but they pay for their short height resulting in quite weak attacks and blocks. Congrats to both teams
Another comment putting height to blame, from what i see, experience speaks for itself in this match, only 3 US player who played in local league are the exact opposite of team Japan. The return of chiaka ogbogu made US have lot more confidence in front of the net. She's playing for Vakif Bank in Turkey, alongside paola egonu, gabi, zehra gunes, bajema and daalderop.
@@magtral japan height issue is a matter of fact, they start with this disadvantage, then they can play their match and win against every other team of course, but they rarely spike as strong and angled as the others.

@@magtralheight is might in volleyball esp in the top ranked teams. The London Olympic cycle team of Japan was taller and was able to medal at the international game. Brazil also was criticize by some fans for their selection now bec some players are shorter than their international counterpart. In competing against a powerful US team with their current roster for the final week, Japan will be needing an almost perfect game to compensate for their lack of height.
USA’s performance this match was a literal roller coaster ride. They started well, then were unable to stop Japan in the third set, but managed to get their act together to take the 4th set. There was a physical and height mismatch this time with Japan that helped, but USA might get into more trouble with this type of performance against other teams. I am so glad Vakif middle blocker Ogbogu is back 😃 Congrats to USA ❤🇺🇸!
These two teams made us watch quality rallies. Everyone is praising the Japanese for speed, talking about losing height, but the American team had great defenses too.
So what now. Will there be advantage who will win in this league. Who can participate in paris 2024

It was expected that the American will win. This 2023 VNL has revealed how the Japanese volleyball school technical level has progressed, lovely style. USA has more experienced players than Japan since they play in the best European leagues.
Overall USA will be playing against the Winner of Türkiye or Italy tonight’s match.
It’s gonna be spicy.

I just enjoy watching women's volleyball. The talent on the USA team and Japan were so amazing! Foulke Akinradewo, and Larson, Washington they are so amazing to watch! as well as many others on the team! Looking forward to watching them at the Olympics 2024!

That was a good match although. I kinda expected the USA to win. It wasnt easy win coz Japan defense is insane. Good decision for Kiraly to shuffle his players on the 2 last sets.

This wasn't USA-Japan highlights. This was only USA highlights. I don't know who makes the highlights but remember there are 2 teams playing vs each other . Maybe you should also add some Japan's points.

Well USA was the winner. I love both teams btw but USA has more “highlights” play than Japan if you watch the whole match. Japan took one set from USA due to us’s errors (12) in 3rd set alone. Japan was a bit exhausted leading to this match compared to USA which reshuffled their players plus majority of the first six are from their A-team.

Japan players need to play oversea league. They need to out of their comfort zone challenging other taller player rather than playing in JVL.
It still good for Japan in this year VNL but just thought that every players seem lost confidences this year especially Koga and Mayu
