Loghain has some great banter with Dog. He's probably the only party member who likes him (Loghain does feed him scraps), and their banter reveals something of Loghain as a child--before he met Maric. One of Loghain's moments with Morrigan is almost as great (paraphrased): "Great generals are supposed to be old men who sit well behind the front lines." "Then I have never been or aspired to be a great general." "Ahh. So that explains your loss at Ostagar."
He does! If the PC dies after killing the archdemon, if one's reputation with Sten is high enough, the epilogue mentions that when asked whether during his travels he met anyone honorable, his reply is that he met only one. Part of me still wonders whether he was referring to Dog rather than the PC. If memory serves, I think Shale develops something of a crush on Sten.
Morrigan absolutely adores the Dog, and the Dog adores her in return. She gives him treats all the time lol, even though she usually acts all disgusted towards the dog, she has a real soft spot for him.
Betray? Don't be silly. Alistair is the one who deserts over a grudge, you do nothing wrong whatsoever. It's his own fault for being a whiny little pissant who needs a scapegoat for the death of his adoptive father for all of six months.
Nox Luxe True it's allistair's fault for reacting as such. I really just meant the betrayal of his feelings. If you remotely liked Allistair his ending is so different too. From potential king to a vagabond. I'm sure some people got a kick out of making him a homeless drifter though.
I certainly did, it was deliciously ironic and I never felt there was any actual reason for him to be made king except that Eamon wanted a puppet on the throne. Anora seemed have to been doing just fine as the de facto ruler. And he's still a handsome and intelligent man with a comparatively good education, expert combat training and experience and a small fortune in loot, weapons and armor. I don't have the slightest sympathy for him for not being able to make a respectable man of himself in the Free Marches.
horsewhisper3 He wanted Allistair on the throne, just so happens Allistair is a puppet the entire game. He even follows your lead if you play completely evil.
Ahahaha Zevran, you never fail to amuse me. Seriously. "Well I just wanted to report that I failed my mission. I'm terribly broken up over it." And yet, Loghain failed too! He's a warden now.
One of my favorite things about Bioware is that they add little things like this into their games -- the elevator conversations and such in ME, the conversations in DA... It really takes you into the story and makes the characters that much more believable.
Somehow, Zevran, I suppose that the Wardens saving Eamon, killing Howe, "rescuing" Anora, winning the Landsmeet and recruiting him into the Grey Wardens had given Loghain a clue already...
It's almost like being knocked off his pedestal reminds Loghain that he is truly just a man. Like, his whole tone changes once Zevran announces he failed the mission. "Oh, we're joking around now? Cool." I feel like Loghain wouldn't have taken that quite as well before. I hate hurting Alistair just to get Loghain, but I like to think my Amell eventually made up with him after some time when things weren't so raw.
You have to give up allistair from the party regardless of hwo you play it out. you can however insure that he doesn't leave because of dissaproval by unfortunately making him more serious to the world. All you have to do is make certain dialogue choices after you reunite Allistair with his sister.
If u folow the questline u`l know that flemeth survived CUZ of hawk "The arrangement"was the faceoff with the warden when she died there was still a piece of her in the amulet and when merril did the ritual she revived
@Darthreven29 Loghain can substitute for Alistair in role as a tank, with shield talents as well a champion specialization. If I remember their difference is mainly that Loghain has better beginning stats in Willpower than Dexterity and he can't wear any armor than his chevalier-armor set.
Zevran: Well, I just wanted to report that I failed my mission, Loghain. Loghain: *Looks to The Warden, then back to Zevran and gasps* I had no idea! Surely I'll have to be careful not cross them, as they'll no doubtably seek revenge!
@playover17 The mission ends sooner if you lure the zombies towards you, they don't seem to like running in without reason. Also, I don't want to give spoilers, so I'll keep it concise; You can become a Blood Mage if you use your MC in Eamon's castle at a certain scene where you need a mage. Arcane Warrior is found in the Brecillian Forest, deep inside after you pass through just keep checking the rooms for everything (easy to miss). Morrigan will teach Shapeshifter and you can buy Spirit Healer
Too funny lol. Loghain is really cool. I've grown to respect him a lot more after reading the stolen throne. It is too bad you can't recruit him and keep Alistair on the same team. I don't have the heart to betray Alistair lol.
This would be a moment where Loghain is thinking "Well I can see the Warden is alive so I know you didn't kill her...but thank you for informing me of your failure even though I am not blind yet..." I'm serious I'd be sarcastic if I was Loghain
"I just wanted to report that I failed my mission, Loghain."
*Warden smiles and waves*
"....You don't say..."
Fucking love Zev
Loghain’s response is what kills me 😂
If you choose Zevran as your champion to duel Loghain at the landsmeet, he wittily comments on the irony of the situation he's been put in.
Lol poor Zevran ever since he joins the Wardens party, the longer he's there, the ironic the situation gets
@@notahamster333 ya forgot a word.
"also were dating now"
more like screwing maddly every chance we get.
Loghain:”Yes I know this too...Which reminds me, keep it down at night! Some of us are trying to sleep.”
If you spared Loghain just for this.then its worth it
@MusicisLife8393 lol no. I spent the whole game calling him stupid to his face.
I can just watch it here on TH-cam while sending him to the Maker in my game.
And to see him being forced to move to Orlais
@@spalenzagabriel far worse than death

Brian Gronberg Sten likes the marbari too
He does! Part of me still wonders whether he was referring to Dog rather than the PC.

In one of the codex it mentions that Loghain is a farmers son who tended to the barns or something like that.
Lmao Morrigan was so savage sometimes
Morrigan absolutely adores the Dog, and the Dog adores her in return. She gives him treats all the time lol, even though she usually acts all disgusted towards the dog, she has a real soft spot for him.
"You don't say?"
I must say this is the one time i found Loghain funny.
definitely a "... no shit" moment.
"Thank you kindly for informing me...... By the way, I want my money back."
- I can t believe it... after 100 times play, DA still have something what killed me...
- Don t say... It s like a birthday cake
Loghain is a truly amazing party member. I just wish you didn't have to betray Allistair to get him.
Betray? Don't be silly. Alistair is the one who deserts over a grudge, you do nothing wrong whatsoever. It's his own fault for being a whiny little pissant who needs a scapegoat for the death of his adoptive father for all of six months.

horsewhisper3 I was just pointing out that Allistair is a puppet. What does Eamon's sister have to do with that?
Nice to know Loghain has some humour.
He actually is quite funny.
xD "I'm terribly broken up over it." Ahh Zevran xD
He sounded almost amused at the end. XD
OMFG Zevran allow me to inform you of your new title, Captain Obvious.
Warden's like "Awkward..."
zevran: i failed my mission, loghain
loghain: no shit, zevran! NO SHIT!
Zevran still reigns as king of trolling!
''You dont fucking say ....''
Ahahaha Zevran, you never fail to amuse me. Seriously. "Well I just wanted to report that I failed my mission. I'm terribly broken up over it."
And yet, Loghain failed too! He's a warden now.
"I'm terribly broken up over it" Zev is the best
this is why Zev is one of my fav characters lmfao
"You don't say."
lol more like "No shit."
And then Zev informs Logain of all the ways he is thankful that he did not kill the Grey Warden. Every position and every night... LOL
The level of professionalism here is respectable at the very least
One of my favorite things about Bioware is that they add little things like this into their games -- the elevator conversations and such in ME, the conversations in DA... It really takes you into the story and makes the characters that much more believable.
Zevran: I just wanted to report that I failed my mission, Loghain.
Loghain: NO FUCKING SHIT, ZEVRAN.
I love how Loghain says Grey Warden XD
This was fucking hilarious.
"You dont say" xD
"you don't say..." is Ferelden for "no shit, Sherlock."
Somehow, Zevran, I suppose that the Wardens saving Eamon, killing Howe, "rescuing" Anora, winning the Landsmeet and recruiting him into the Grey Wardens had given Loghain a clue already...
I just love that you made your warden look like Leliana
I swear I was about to spill my tea with milk all over the screen when I heard this the first time!
Probably my favourite dialogue ever :D
*Why I always recruit Loghain* 😂
"You don't say..."
Oh Zevran, you are truly too awesome by far :D
Thank you kindly for informing me.
"You don't say" ...
feeling the irony in Loghain voice as he himself became a Grey Warden...
@EmoCrusher87
Yes, Simon Templeman is the voice of Loghain. Spectacular actor.
THANK YOU KINDLY for informing me
LOL not only did he fail, he joined them!
“YOU DON’T SAY?”
All I can say is WIN!
Zevran should become the Paragon of stating the obvious.
"You don't say" (the word DAAAAAAAH comes to my mind). Haha, Loghain is so funny...
Hey look, Leliana became a Grey Warden too!
Now THAT is beautiful.
i laughed so hard when i heard that in the game xD
Dialogue between Zevran and anyone is funny.
Maker, that was hillarious!!
LOL! "You don't say."
Just made my day,haha XD
ROLF!!! This is awesome XD
Lol and with you standing right there... Awkward!
Oh the sarcasm.
Zevran -hes not the sharpest tool in the shed but hes alrite
It's almost like being knocked off his pedestal reminds Loghain that he is truly just a man. Like, his whole tone changes once Zevran announces he failed the mission. "Oh, we're joking around now? Cool." I feel like Loghain wouldn't have taken that quite as well before.

Wait, are you telling me Zevran actually failed his mission? I would have never known!
"You don't say" hehe
It's just so HILARIOUS!!!!!!
Oh Zevran...
Loghain always is so sarcastic)
"You don't say" Oh Loghain kills me right there XD
How can you not like Zevran, he is so funny XDDD

That's a good thing about dragon age, based on which ending you chose on origins you can interpret scenes from DA2 differently.
If u folow the questline u`l know that flemeth survived CUZ of hawk "The arrangement"was the faceoff with the warden when she died there was still a piece of her in the amulet and when merril did the ritual she revived

ROFL love zevran's smartass attitude
lolololololol. God I freaking love Zevran

Loghain: *Looks to The Warden, then back to Zevran and gasps* I had no idea! Surely I'll have to be careful not cross them, as they'll no doubtably seek revenge!
Can't stop laughing too much XD
"i failed my mission"
Noooooo X]
@NinjaZiloni
"Hardened?" You mean you have to choose the "everyone is out for themselves" option?
Bwahahaha oh Zev 😂😂😂

1 person is zevran after he betrayed the gray warden
haha, that's awesome.
Zevran: U MAD!?
Hehe... awkward :P
if you spare Loghain, he leaves no matter what.
@shiromori Part of it's game mechanics since Loghain can almost in every way substitute Alistair in combat.
"I failed my mission."
NO SHIT!!!
Epic moment of my life lol
@Paperkut16 Yup! You can choose to spare his life at the landsmeet. There's also a mod for pc that lets you romance him...
Zevran and Oghren have to be the best dialogue characters!
This would be a moment where Loghain is thinking "Well I can see the Warden is alive so I know you didn't kill her...but thank you for informing me of your failure even though I am not blind yet..."
I'm serious I'd be sarcastic if I was Loghain
HAHA! Epic! "You don't say!"
Zevran: I still get payed... right?
I Think that it werd that they did say it near her
Lol,I love Zev he's a little clueless sometimes though
best dialogue in the game xDDD zevran owns
Rofl, thats so class!.
-sigh-
@JaminKoehn I love both styles but I agree Oblivion does get kind of lonely :(
looks like he is disgusted because he is one too...
