Your dip nails are the best by far I’ve seen. Perfect shape and thickness. Most of what I see are soooooooo thick. Your nails are classy, dainty, and elegant. Better than any salon. This color palate is really pretty too.

I just bought this kit, I am a newbie, I am waiting for all of my accessories to get here before I start, so I was so happy to see this video! I have also been watching tons of videos for information so I do it correctly.

Beautiful colors/mani, Marla!!! My mom got me the Azure 36 color powder kit w/ Modelones liquids for Christmas. Bless her heart. lol. I actually really enjoyed the powders. I usually use Revel, Kiara and Tundra. I sort of feel like the Amazon companies are all the same manufacturers because they look so identical.
Yeah I can definitely agree with that. I know that Azure and Modelones are sister companies.
I remember that goopy balloon thing! Lol. I'm 44. My nails grow like weeds, so I don't need any help there. Lol.

I recently started nail dip and it is really hard on my nails. Do you have any secrets and/ or videos about strengthening nails? Your nails always look so good even though you are constantly using these dips.
I saw in one video that you used coconut oil and I tried it but I have had 0 success. I have tried OPI Envy as a base (original which I love and has helped my nails) but the manicure doesn't last as long.
Any suggestions would be great!
Hey love! If your nails are taking a beating, it may be due to overfiling. That’s the #1 cause of nail damage with any nail enhancement. I would highly suggest a gentle file over the natural nail, then apply your products, (skip the nail strengthener) and leave them alone for as long as you can. Tell me about your soak off routine. Let’s see if we can get that working better for you.
@@MarlaKris Thanks for replying! I just use that rice and acetone method to remove the old dip. Acetone really dries out the nails. I don't file them extensively.

That is literally the very first dip kit I ever purchased! I don’t remember if the kit came with any liquids back then.

Hey Marla, I watched for the nail tips... I'm commenting for dryer tips! Lol
You mentioned your dryer stopped heating up but still tumbles. Same happened to me. Before you pay for that new dryer, do yourself a favor and do two things... First, Check the lint buildup in your exhaust tubing and if it's packed, it could've tripped the fuse in the dryer to prevent a fire. In which case, you will want to clean it all out and then second, buy the fuse for like $20 and replace it yourself. If you know the make of your machine, Google and TH-cam are your friends here! Since you can DIY nails I bet you can fix your dryer, too. And save $$$$! I did it and was super proud 😬💪
Hey sweets!! Thank you so much for this! I did all the things.. and it was actually the advice of my repair guy (not affiliated with any company - he’s a handyman) bc he replaced the thermostat once before but the damn dryer is ancient lol so it was just its time 😫

How do you store your dip powders and liquids? Do you have a system? Is there a safe way or less safe way to do so, and yet keep them together?
As long as the liquids are upright and the powders are closed right, there’s no wrong way to store them!

Im gonna be 40 in Sept, and I remember those plastic gooey balloon things. Pure chemicals I'm sure. I cant remember the last time I've seen those. I do 100% remember the smell though!!
Doubt kids are allowed to have that these days. The way things are today I'm suprised kids are leaving their homes without full safety gear including helmets and knee pads, not to ride their bikes, but to go to theur mailbox.

I have an Aikker kit, too. I agree-powders good and brushes suck. BUT…my kit came with a file that was AWESOME! I have looked everywhere for more. It is a 100/180 but it is on a kinda thick (1/4”) foam thing. It is awesome! If you have a source, please spill!

For a thin liquid with a slow dry time, I like the new liquids from Makartt! Also sparkle and co are really nice.

I've bought a few kits, and some of them chip within the hour. And that's with proper nail prep. How long did this one hold up?
I’ve found that longevity of the product really depends on prep, not the quality of the products. With proper prep, they could last at least 2-3 weeks
@@MarlaKris I just assumed it was a quality issue. Because I prepared my nails. Maybe I'll give them another shot when I'm changing my current mani. It's just a disappointment when I go through the whole process for them to chip so easily.

How do you recommend someone (beginner) get their naitural nails to a better place. Mine are so short, no surface! I don’t want to go back to acrylics 😭😭
I’ve been following you for so long, and I’ve seen so many videos I just can’t seem to find the good answers I need.
It’s a simple fix really.. apply dip to your nails and leave it in as long as you can (as long as there is no lifting. Then remove gently (soak off) and reapply. Make sure to not over file them. As long as you keep dipping, your natural nails will grow out! The dip keeps the nail protected. Full grow-out totally depends on your own chemistry but typically it takes about 2-3 months to regrow the nails.

So I'm trying to get this straight you encapsulated with Joe and then filed and buffed and then you're going to go over it with gel again? Why don't you just dip it in clear powder then do gel top coat? Is there a specific reason??
Yep so an extra dip in clear can make the nail thicker and cause teeny white specs on the nail. I prefer gel for the clarity and thinness. Totally a personal preference thing. ❤️
@@MarlaKris ok so you can file and shape with the gel cause I've been having so many issues with the dip top coat not being shiny and I keep taking off And redoing and the same issue... I'm ready to pull out my hair!! 😱

I love how it turned out! If they are hema free i can purchase. I hate it so much that im allergic because gel is so much less steps but oh well :/ you need to try double dipp'd. This company is a small business. Melissa nails use them all the time i just want another point of view from somebody who isnt affiliated with them. Like an honest opinion.
