The flow direction indicators are on the top near the end red buttons on the black bits hard to see The unit flow can be turned around by undoing the 12 screws

Other way round paper filter to the right water in to the right something to do with the water flow through the filter valve is bigger from the right and smaller to the left. Roof battens treated wood about £1 a mt 50x32 mm from timber yard perfect for pond covers. You can get normal wood - wood stained red and blue the red is most water proof.

@@KoiPondLifestyle The water goes through the cartridges from outside to the centre, then on to the next cartride outside to centre.( you can see the direction when you have the housings off)
It helps stop the carbon cartridges blocking up as they have a thin 5 micron screen on the outside. and it also gives a large surface area to trap sediment.
if you want to have the tap water enter from the left, unscrew the housings from the metal bracket and turn them through 180 degrees so the last is first and screw them back into place, you can have your polyester sediment filter n the left then 👍 🙂

Really good question.. I believe it does. If you Google it, there are loads of sites that confirm that tap water passed through a carbon filter does remove volatile organics like chlorine and Chloramine. 😉👍
