    This was CBS’ first NFL-related program after regaining the TV rights in 1998. Still using the old 1997 graphics as well, which were never on any NFL game as CBS didn’t have rights in 1997

      Dilfer has more rings than Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Steve McNair, Donovan McNabb, Dan Fouts, Phil Rivers, Fran Tarkenton, and Jim Kelly combined. Plus, his sunglasses during this competition were rather stylish.

      Dilfer was an anomaly.
      He had quite literally THE most dominant defense in almost every category imaginable.
      The ravens offense didn't score a single touchdown all of October that year. The defense outscored the offense lol

Just the NFC was so terrible offensively, the Ravens old defense could still hang in there. If Dilfer was the problem, why didn't they repeat in 2001? That's right, Elvis Grbac was suppose to the the elite QB haha

      Bret Armstrong they need to go back to the baggy jerseys. The NFL and College Football jerseys look absolutely stupid now. The skin tight jerseys look horrible. Same with smaller shoulder pads. Need to go back to bigger shoulder pads. And pants that go below the knees

      We are Venom no I doubt it. College football is already cracking down on the bicycle shorts pants trend. They put in a rule where your pants need to go below the knee. If you don’t follow, you can’t play. And smaller pads don’t provide more safety. It’s the opposite

      Are you 12... Jim Harbaugh began his career with the Bears. He also played for the Indianapolis Colts and nearly led them to Super Bowl 30 during the 1995 season. He also nearly won the 1995 NFL MVP award. Indianapolis Colts traded Harbaugh to the Baltimore Ravens in 1998... He would play just 1 season in Baltimore. He signed with the Chargers for 2 years. He also signed with The Lions but never played a game for them.... eventually being traded to the Panthers... He would retire with the Panthers but he didn't play a single down...

    Brett Favre is the quarterback I’d want in the backyard football game because you know he’d be fun as hell.
    Steve Young is the quarterback I’d choose if I wanted to win.

      I was 8 during the Oilers' final season in Houston (1996), then 9 & 10 when represented of the state of Tennessee under the "Oilers" name. 1999 was when Bud Adams [R.I.P. or R.I.H.; depending on who's talking to whom] & company rebranded the franchise to the current-day Tennessee Titans while holding on the "Oilers" name for the sake of Adams's [as well as his surviving estate's] hubris, which carries ire, anger, & anguish to Houstonians.

      they still do these competitions, but not as physically intesnive because of Robert Edwards

    I remember watching this on TV way back when, and Brett Favre throwing a 74-yard pass. That's our qb, what an arm. He was a joy to watch and frustrating to watch. Giants qb after a bad performance, I am going to go hide, and sits next to Ryan Leaf, ha ha.

    I thought i was a Packers fan when i was a kid but it turns out i was just a Favre fan cuz once i got old enough to really pay attention the Eagles became my favorite team & still are to this day. Going on about 21 years now. But Favre will forever be my favorite QB.
