No, saying the Soviet Union ended the war on its own is a post-war fabrication of what really happened and ignores the fact that the Western Allies both sent equipment to the Soviet Union and gave intelligence support. Not to mention the efforts of the allied bombings on the Rhur valley. And no, the war didn't end in Berlin. you're referring to "victory in europe" day." It ended officially in Tokyo after the Japanese surrendered. This brings in the Pacific theatre, which was fought and won mostly by the Western allies since the USSR had a non-agression pact with Japanese until the near end of the war.
Tldr. Always remember the sacrifices of all men and women in this terrible conflict. It was a team effort, and no, not just Russia, the Soviet Union, including all the other SSR's, with all the other hundreds of ethnic groups who gave their lives to win.
