In our opinion this game is one of the best of the year so far. With a price tag of $39.99, its a steal of a deal. The art style, cinematic cutscenes, music and puzzle designs are triple A quality.
Animation is very important to me, I always pay great attention to it, whether gameplay or cutscenes. At 01:24:13, shows how much care and effort Ember Lab put into this. Something as simple as a facial expression can really sell a scene. Not only that, but her expression changes while swinging the staff, swimming and double jumping.
There is quite literally zero character development in this game unless you mean the ghosts who forgive themselves which is like 3 moments in the whole game and even then, it's not like we see any process, instead they just get beaten by Kena.
huge thanks, this is exactly what i need the sin of Toshi was so enormous, how could Kena say just forgive yourself, no, he has to ask forgiveness from the victims
In the narrative of this game the spirits can and will only move on, if they manage their unfinished businesses. They plague the realm by not letting go; that is what binds them. Kena helps them doing so. What has happened can't be undone; they are spirits of the dead and they can't help each other. That's why Taro and the two children can't find or help each other. Toshi is bound to this world because he doesn't forgive himself what he did not because others do not forgive him. The ghosts bind themselfes to the world not others bind them by not forgiving them. That is a deep philosophical difference. If a ghost would be bound to this world by other ghosts or living beings not forgiving them they would be held hostage and maybe could never leave this realm and find peace.
I JUST beat the game and now I'm here to watch these cutscenes again :) Edit: Who the hell had the idea of making that final boss hard like that. Its... annoying. You die once, you need to go through all three phases again.
Such a calming game florish with Çudamani gamelan and vocals theme soundtracks in the end of the scene along with an amazing landscapes environment , but such a shame that we haven't got a chance to know Kena background story I'll gave this rate 8,5/10 and I hope there's a sequel for this game
Just visited your channel because of a cutscene I missed as I was forced to skip it because of something important. I'm just glad the option's there to view it.
They took the some of the artistic style from Bali (like the entrance gate of the Pura), and even got the maestro of Gamelan Cudamani Dewa Putu Berata to oversee their compositions as well as having the Gamelan's associate director Emiko Saraswati Susilo as the VA of Kena.
I forgot when did we learn that Zaju was his name and when did we find out the girl who help us learn the spirit bomb ability was named Hanna I don't recall them mentioning it I just found out through getting their masks
Is there a reason why you don't include the credits roll sequence? Lots of people worked on this and the other games that you're recording to make these "cutscene only" edits. Feels strange to leave that part off.

well until HFB(horizon) comes out i don’t know, i was exited for it this year but it get delayed
also is this channel one or several people?
I saw this video stolen on channel named Jack Sparrow :)
We're several. Two of us own and run the channel, but a couple more play and edit. I started the channel solo over a decade ago tho =)
@@glp You've grown a lot, that's for sure. XD

This is basically a Pixar movie without Pixar. Look at those cutscenes! They're gorgeous! I hope the game is successful.
Oh yes it was. Such a blast to play..
Having characters with big heads and eyes doesn't make it "basically a Pixar movie".
@@Piterixos I think they were referring to the art style and the emotional musical ambiance.
You mean DISNEY
The cutscene of Taro reuniting with his younger siblings was absolutely beautiful. Brought a tear to my eye 😥
I know right I even cryed a little in my sleep 😢😭
It was so heartfelt 😭
This also made me realize the siblings were just as dead as Taro is, only not corrupted.
If this was to be adapted into a TV series or movie, i would gladly watch it. Hell even a comic book is welcome, there’s just so much potential

YES! that's really the 1st thing I noticed out of this game...Pixar Disney level animation
this game is essentially an animated Disney adventure film in video game form
Yes, except there’s no musical numbers, no overwhelming humor and absolutely no fast pacing.
This was so beautifully done. Storyline, character development, graphics, just an overall pleasant experience of a game.

Giving me Raya feels, the kids and the rots were so freaking adorable

If you want my honest opinion, this is what Raya and the Last Dragon should have been.
As Indonesian, this game ost reminds me of Bali
Edit: this is performed by Balinese, so proud of themmm

Best game I've seen in a long time and the game play looks like so much fun
The Gamelan, ghost, and forest. This game is BRILLIANT. Just trigger too many ghost story memories for me.
Wow, this looks impressive and fun to watch 🙂👍👍👍
amazing game. Did the developers have a plan to expand the world of Kena?
Great gameplay. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing!!! So beautiful!!! ❤ Thank you @GLP for this wonderful experience. ❤❤❤
I love the look of this... like a movie..
Thanks for the game movie.

Avatar + Princess Mononoke +Horizon Zero Dawn + Spirited Away + Pixar = Kena bridge Of SPIRITS

@50:21 the song, make me calm...
This video game may not be Pixar but this is definitely better than Raya and the last dragon
Great game, did two playthrus 👍
All 3d games should be lush and colorful like this 😅
Meanwhile voice acting free Zelda re release will sell millions more copies.......
The background music is definitely Indonesian muisc
Its true, they make the soundtrack in bali
Oh wow, it's so gorgeous this game is^^
This reminds me of tak an the power of juju mixed with legend of zelda
That was amazing!
I deleted this one after getting tired of looking up where to go every 5 minutes. Way better watching it as a movie
It's like dark souls for kids.
Where are you disney? Hey!
