In regards to testing the map pool, it makes sense to do it against anyone outside of the Majors. With the top 4 being so far ahead of the bottom 8, the online points aren’t super important because the top 4 should be basically locked for champs. I’m fine with map pool expansion against anyone outside of the events. Assuming that these online matches really give confidence to pros is a little faded.

Scump said the same thing about pool hill on 6 star - just drain the water out. Then you don’t have to move the hill and it becomes a lot less cheese. Still a weird hill for sure but no water involved could improve it

In my honest opinion, OpTic played well as a whole and should have closed it out 3-0. As Trei said Shotzzy world classed. Shotzzy said himself that they were testing the map pool against the top team to see how they performed. There's no point playing a low tier team on those maps because they're going to beat them regardless. If they dont test different maps again the number 1 team in the world then when are they going to get a good chance to do it again?
100% agreed, optic have the easiest strength of schedule and are projected to be 6-1 this split. New maps in the pool and old maps out of the pool, they need to get good reps on the maps and this was a good showing for that.
5v5, stims and hardscoping down lanes with 4 teammates to play pinch and cuts makes it less impressive imo compared to running at everyone all year like it’s ranked play because your that much better than everyone else. They should just drain the pool for competitive. Keep the water in for pubs bc it adds some fun to the casual games, but keeps the hill in a decent spot on the map without adding the swim cheese
Pool sort of adds a skill gap, makes the dive feature actually good. It would be cool if the pool got drained part way through the game so its there for the first rotation and gone for 2nd rotation.

Yeah asims kd is the same as purj, but his damage and engagements are both higher. If he played as slow as purj did he’d have 1.00 on average at least

They should just drain the pool for competitive. Keep the water in for pubs bc it adds some fun to the casual games, but keeps the hill in a decent spot on the map without adding the swim cheese
Pool sort of adds a skill gap, makes the dive feature actually good. It would be cool if the pool got drained part way through the game so its there for the first rotation and gone for 2nd rotation.
Hell naw we can’t just ban/nerf/ga something every time theres an advantage to something. Thats the whole point of pregaming and strategy. Think outside the box and come up with a counter.
