Some minivans will scoot pretty decent. I have a 2008 chevy uplander cargo van with the same 3.9L V6 as my 06 monte carlo. The monte will do 0-60 in 7 flat and the van is about 8.5, which is almost the same as my old 03 monte carlo SS was.

I have a 2012 sonic 1.8 with the 5 speed. It’s got 200,000+ and I’m not gonna lie it is not “fast” but has to be my favorite “go-kart” car ever. Now mine is a sedan but it’s very reliable as long as you do the maintenance.
The manual or the automatic is ok. The engine is just ok at this point as long as you change the oil and coolant often, better if you do it before the recomended intervals. Keep an eye out for oil leaks and especially coolant leaks. Any issue and it needs to be addressed right away. As long as you can keep up with those things it will last a while.
I love my 2015 RS. The 1.4 has 98 horsepower per liter. That's one of the important things most people fail to realize when comparing engines. How much HP per liter does that Hemi of yours make ? 5.7 liter isn't making 570 HP is it. But my 138HP from a 1.4 liter engine is amazingly efficient and still getting 28.5 mpg average no matter how much I hammer on it. Just some perspective. I do plan on ZZP upgrades just as soon as I'm out of extended warranty so I'm hoping for additional 60 to 80hp which definitely would be noticeable.

While being empty. Guess what happened when you loaded it. The Fiat Ducato with the 1.9l na Diesel and 64hp was even slower. Couldn't reach a hundred / sixty and at 105 km/h or about 65MPH the rev limiter hit in top gear. Still we got around because guess what. Fuel is expensive over here and tax is paid by how big your engine is.
This thing is like half the price brand new. You can get a 4cyl camaro for about the same as the civic and out perform the civic in everything except mpg and practicality

Outside of the US, that wouldn't be considered a slow car. I'm not saying it's a race car, but it's not dangerously slow. I daily drive a 60hp Renault Super 5 and even that is fine. It's not thrilling for sure, but as long as I rev it a little bit, it goes well and certainly doesn't feel dangerous in any situation. Most people, wherever they live, don't drive with the right foot to the floor anyways :D
