@@veenitagupta577 it depends whether the middle term is +ve or-ve , you assign the symbols to the bigger and smaller factor accordingly. If middle term is -ve , then bigger factor will be -ve and smaller factor will be +ve , or if they both add up to the middle term , both will be -ve

...nice method! I am not used to hearing 2 into 6 as factors of 12. Here. In Canada "into" implies divide, so 2 into 6 would be 3.
