I took the cheapest flight in the world to Oslo, Norway from London Stansted, United Kingdom for £3.99 with Ryanair! The cheapest flight I've taken prior to this was a £25 flight from Manchester, United Kingdom to Dublin, Ireland! I just want to point out that this is NOT a brand deal and I am NOT associated with Ryanair in anyway!

I've been with 4 guys from Billund (Denmark) to Berlin. We each paid 15 DKR (1.77 GBP) each way. So 3.54 for a return ticket for each person.

@@Travel_addict_81 Denmark is pricy af. If you just go in to a normal store and get your self a Nice cold water bottle 2.50$. Every chocolate bar (snikers, mars etc) 1$ on discount normal 1.30$. And let's say you get 10000$ a Month in Denmark. Around 50 to 60% on taxes. So after taxes, house Stuff and car shit you will end up with 20% of what you get from your job. Pringless 165 gram 3$, Lays bag of chips 3$, ciggarets 8$, Cocio 600 ml 2.30$. And if i wanted i could say so Many things that is way more pricy in Denmark.
MapsGamez DK i live in uk, prices are similar. The tax is lower than dk, but the standard of living i think is higher in dk compared to uk. I was in Copenhagen a few years and was ok, not much more expensive than London. London is out of this world, so many super rich, in Copenhagen is more normal, i wasn’t feeling that i am dirt poor.

Although the backpack one is fairly easy. have done it a couple of times, they will only call you out if you do it to obvious. Also if you have a backpack and a big laptop bag it works all the time (at least for me it never failed).

When the flight is this cheap the city is paying the airline to bring in tourists so in return it helps the economy

when ryanair first became popular about 20 years ago, we flew manchester - dublin for 1p and then the return was 99p!!!!!!!
I remember that. I booked Stansted to Pisa, Italy, return, £1. Come flight day I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed at stupid-o-clock (3am) to get to Stansted so didn't bother going!

The cheapest ticket I paid for a flight was 0,01 PLN a few years ago for a flight from Wrocław, Poland to Rome, Italy on Ryanair plane. So it was 0,02 for round flight. It was more expensive to pay for a ride from airport to city center 😉 Back then 1£ was about 6 PLN. So you can imagine how cheap it was. 😃
My friends got a flight from Sweden, Stockholm to Poland, Krakow for aprox £3.

Be careful with the two bag trick. Some countries Ryan Air are bang on that. In Bulgaria they were like militarily checking bag sizes in the little bag measure thing. I had to throw a pair of wellies, a roll matt and tent poles to make it fit. The pitfalls of being cheap.

I once bought tickets for 14 of my family members to fly from Manila to Boracay. It cost me 200 pesos each person (about 3.04 pounds). So literally $50 to bring my entire family to the premiere beach destination of the country 🇵🇭

Back in Spring 2012 several friends flew from Frankfurt to Rome on Ryanair. I think the price was 4 Euro, which would be a bit less than 3 pound 98. Of course, that was several years ago, and they almost certainly don't run that fare anymore.

I do travel alot in last few years, the cheapest one that I even seen was 2.98 GBP to Lviv from London Stan. ( I still have Screenshot lol) but the cheapest one I took was London Stan. to Stockholm Skavsta for 7.98 GBP. Also I got a 9.99 GBP from London Stan. to Poitiers, France XD
Hey Simon, I'm sure you're aware of this already... You are allowed to bring empty bottles of water into the airport, which you can fill up in the toilet or ask one of the cafes if they can refill it for you. Saves a few quid on water!

I flew on Ryanair (probably around a decade ago) from London to Bremen for 1p each way. I didn't pay any extra charges. The total cost was 2p.

This video is very missleading. You dont mention that Ryan Air is using Torp airport that is located 150km away from Oslo. The train journey into Oslo takes 2 hours and cost around 30 euro each way. And if you add that you have to travel back and forward from Manchester to Stanstead than the ticket starts to get expensive. Time is money and i guess you must have used more than 10 hours to reach downtown Oslo.
My cheapest flight was Newcastle to Dublin for £2 each way, so £4 for a return trip! To this day, finding that flight was a pure life achievement lmao
Two years ago I was on a flight from Madrid to Palma de Mallorca for 12 euros both ways
Quite a few years ago, probably 2011 or 2013, I looked at flight prices from Gatwick to Malaga with Aer Lingus, we were a bit fussy with dates and such due to parents being at work, sister in school & me in sixth form. We looked at several flights that were on days we couldn't go, some were priced as low as £3.99, and incredibly others were literally priced at £0.00, Nothing...
We ended up paying about £400 for flights there and back, including seat reservations and two 20KG bags, for four people that's not too bad.
Incidentally, I looked about a week later, and the same flight was still available, but now £700.
Because I'm a weirdo and have no life, the day before we were due to fly out, out of curiosity I checked the prices, there were still some seats available on the flight, but for the same flight, same bags and number of people, for a return trip, they wanted £1,500!
It's also worth noting, that although the flights themselves would have been free, you'd have to pay for the bags, any seat reservations, and they also charge a fee for tax and other fuel & security fees, normally this is around 2 or 3% of the ticket price, but when the ticket is free they charge a certain price, a nominal amount, well under £100 for both fees, but remember it's per person.
Airlines often start high, say BA or a better reputation carrier, once the plane is almost full they drop the price considerably to fill the last remaining seats, even if they get £30 for each seat, instead of perhaps £100 that everyone else has paid, that's still £30 per seat versus £0 per seat, and if it's empty it's effectively "dead weight" as they're still paying the fuel cost per mile for that seat but getting no revenue from it.
On the other hand, budget carriers, i.e easyJet, Ryanair, etc, work the opposite, they start low, and nearer the flight time, the price jumps up, considerably so, that's how many of them make money.
You must not change seat before takeoff! After takeoff it’s fine, but due to weight and balance and performance before takeoff you must sit in you allocated seat. This is because a stabiliser trim setting calculated based on where passengers are sitting. You moving about can affect the performance and makes it more difficult and potentially dangerous for us pilots. With the extra bag, you must not do that, because it adds weight to the aircraft which the pilots do not know about, so the aircraft is heavier than expected which can lead to problems. If it is just you and no other passengers then it won’t affect it much, but if a few people do it, then it can significantly affect takeoff performance

A few years ago, to celebrate 100 years of aviation, or it may have been powered flight, Ryanair sold loads of seats for 50p. My wife, 2 kids and me flew from Manchester to Dublin and back for four quid in total. However, they then spoiled it by charging five quid to pay with my debit card.
I've seen a Ryanair flight from Stockholm to Prag for 25 SEK. That's about 2 pounds.

I flew London - Frankfurt with Ryanair for £1 each way (including taxes!) about 10 years ago.
The Frankfurt airport was about an hour and half drive from actual Frankfurt (longer than the actual flight!)
Cabs, buses from the airport etc all cost a load more than the flight tickets.
The train is 25 mins to the city center and like 3 euros, atleast that’s what I did when I was there last year
I once paid 99p for a flight from London to Frankfurt with Buzz. Needless to say the airline ended up going bankrupt.

Just letting you know for the future, you shouldn’t switch seats without asking the flight attendants before hand, especially if you are in the first 5 rows and back 5 rows before take off because it effects the trim of the plane for take off. Centre of gravity effect the controls of the plane.
It just makes the controls heavier for the pilots.
My partner is a pilot and this would really nag him 🙈haha
