Je suis fier de vous. Puisqu'interpreter une musique du folklore Haïtien n'est pas une mince affaire. Vous avez eu à beaucoup investir votre temps. Encore une fois, BRAVOS!!!
I'm proud to understand haitian creole. In my years at college I went there to study one of the most powerful culture on earth by a wise, naive and poor people. Haitian people are wise, calm, smiling, welcoming and full of life. They have great art, litterature and "racine" music. Love the way you interpret this song guys.
Out of the hand full of loko songs I know this is always the one my family sings passed down from my great grand fathers... to think when they made this song im sure they never knew it would make its across the world.. ayibobo Papa loko aka lokatisou papa!
Nou menm ayisyen al chache konnen istwa nou…suspann li “ histoire de mon pays” e chache konnen e li l’histoire de mon peuple epi na konprann epi suspann supote asasen sa yo.
WOW!!! I am humbly touched as a haitian to hear this. I was looking for a different version of this song and stumbled upon this! Brought tears to my eyes! How did your school choir get to interpret this song?
Ayibobo. Full of emotion. Some a bit mixed but I love that the culture is beloved, I just it was us, westerners, who embraced this beautiful people, culture and amazing history!
This is good. They have the tiatia and the blinblinb is perfectly plaid. The lead has a voice for the song. Good job I like everything you have done with the song
warlyfresh don’t have to know what your singing about to enjoy the song. For example I’ve sang plenty of religious songs and enjoyed it and I’m not religious! They all seem to be having fun, so what’s the harm

negmorne exactly. Vodou is just a religion like any other. The lyrics of this song are beautiful. It makes me so sad that so many Haitians have rejected this part of our identity in favor of a religion that was violently forced upon our ancestors. Slave owners convinced our people that their faith was rooted in evil, and many Haitians still see Vodou through the European lens to this day. It just breaks my heart.
