@@morbidmistress5602 Apologies. That is infact what I meant: modern clothes are a big no no. I too really like Western clothes anytime before the late 1800s. But I said the word "modern" because modern-clothes today (shirts, hoodies, jackets, blue jeans, business suits, etc.) are evolved from older-style Western clothes, but do not possess any of the culture, romance and artistic flair, that the pre-1900s fashion do; modern fashion is philistinism.
Canadian clothes seem so boring after I have seen Hanfu! If I were to wear 19th century clothes, people would laugh at me. My culture is half English, and part Scottish, and M'ikmac (native Canadian) Today it is not proper to wear old fashioned clothes in Canada, unless you are an actor.
It wasn’t proper to wear hanfu in china before as well! All it takes is some courage to be out of the norm and you can dress up in your traditional dresses too. Hanfu wasn't just like a costume of Han Chinese. It was their clothes during Han Dynasty. After the Han dynasty succeeded the Throne when the Qin dynasty collapse, Han Dynasty people used to wear that dress. It wasn't just a costume but an ancient Chinese dress that needs to be preserved.
The emperor of the Tang Dynasty only contained part of the Xianbei bloodline. but did not affect the Tang Dynasty was a Han. The Han was a cultural concept, not a bloodline concept.
I guess everyone wants to be a part of something bigger then just themselves, but I think "hanfu" it only really practical for the upper classes. But things popular at the top usually trickles downward eventually.

please keep it as it is. like in traditional. some things are better left unspoiled. modernizing something so.etimes spoils it.
As an asian we get to much westernized to the point that we forget our traditional dresses
It‘s illogical why people would not want to wear pretty and attractive clothes everyday. It is time for Western clothes to be gone, the ugly stuff.
Long live the Hanfu movement, may it grow bigger and bigger and help open the eyes of young Chinese people as to how beautiful their culture was/is.
#tolerance
It's not western clothes that are ugly, it's modern clothes. 1800s western clothes are beautiful in my opinion.
Wow,the wonderful suit, I like it.
I also adore their hair huhu please talk about their hair
Canadian clothes seem so boring after I have seen Hanfu! If I were to wear 19th century clothes, people would laugh at me. My culture is half English, and part Scottish, and M'ikmac (native Canadian) Today it is not proper to wear old fashioned clothes in Canada, unless you are an actor.
It wasn’t proper to wear hanfu in china before as well! All it takes is some courage to be out of the norm and you can dress up in your traditional dresses too. There’s several youtubers like Bernadette Banner and Karolina Zebrowska that talk about dressing historical in the modern west. Maybe you could check them out!
han means galaxy in chinese.
Yes :)
so beautiful
Hanfu kıyafeti bir bayanı çok hoş güzel gösteriyor şey gibi peri kızı aynen öyle 👍
The Han was a cultural concept, not a bloodline concept.
cool
Des merveilles ! La Chine Éternelle !
I guess everyone wants to be a part of something bigger then just themselves, but I think "hanfu" it only really practical for the upper classes. But things popular at the top usually trickles downward eventually.
Great, Chinese need more national pride.
Chinese culture is beautiful , i prefer to see chinese in Hanfu than in european dressing styles
Every country should encourage people to wear their traditional outfit for holidays.
Looks geat, looks perfectly practical, comfortable for everyday, they should all wear this all the time, show a big middle finger to tasteless modern slacker ""fashion"".
I wish my country had such amazing culture. Clothes that were worn in Europe back in the day weren't as pretty
I like victorian clothes though
China has cool mesmerizing traditional dresses 😍.. then there's my country philippines whoa have those tribal almost naked stuffs and spanish era clothings😆
Not that I'm complaining tho. 😂
well, some clothing has to be functional too. If you're out in the jungle, or working on a ship climbing the masts, elaborate clothing wouldn't really cut it xD
ok but ancient chinese clothes are beautiful and cute too
I hope hanfu revival spread to Indonesia, so 印尼華人 proud to be part of 漢人.
Move to china. Indonesia is indonesia
"A opening China" not only means accepting culture, but also means bring our tradition out.
Restore Hanfu, Restore Traditional Chinese Script Writing !
It does "suit" them well.
And it also "fits" Chinese growing self-awareness
Beautiful young mainlander are into Hanfu fashion while young black t-shirt made homemade explosion and flew the Chinese flag into the sea a disgrace act.
Its not tolerance level, but acceptance. The host has used the wrong term. Hanfu is elegant .
Here in India we bodo people the girls were traditional attire "Dokhona " everywhere.. Educational institutions,
😍😍😍😍
”老祖宗留下来的这些文化 都不奇怪”
People must think they are shooting a movie
漂亮。
基因觉醒👍
Hold on, Chinese people werent acceptance of traditional Chinese clothing? 🤨
I think Cheongsam or Qipao from Qing is more simple & elegant for daily life. Easy to match with modern stuff. Overseas Chinese still use that rather than Hanfu.
Because Chinese has been slaved by Manchu, many Chinese are still using Manchu culture to representing themself. Try to image some Jews people using Nazi to represent themself, do you think it's acceptable.
Cheongsam from Qing is different from modern Cheongsam, the modern one is westernized and has less layers
Have you tried Han element? It's good for daily life too
In Greece we can't wear our traditional clothes, we will be marked as crazy or something
I'm half han and half she
💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
4:40 啊好美
I'd love to wear one. But I'm a fat american. 😔
I wish I could be this brave to wear hanfu in Indy... but I’m afraid of getting laughed at.
The fact that the western influence is strong, they see their own culture bizarre or a disgrace..
