I adore the metal sculptures. Ukraine never invested in the new Russian territories and I am so happy that not that they're with Russia changes will be made to improve the city and residential environments.
The Soviets did the same in Afghanistan, its one of the things the Taliban appreciated about the Former Soviet Union, the infrastructure they built even at war and left behind.
The last time these regions experienced major infrastructure development was during its Soviet era. From 1991 until before the SMO (I call it Russian restaurant against the Fascists/Banderites) they were neglected. It's like here in the Philippines where the resource rich island of Mindanao is always neglected and all of the development here in this US client state is in Manila area and adjacent areas.
But you know, there are territories that Russia has not improved at all, it's the case in all countries. Especially Ukraine because it has not been a rich country.

The Kiev regime is crazy thinking that the people of the Donbass would like to be a part of their country again, after everything that Ukraine has done to them.
The Kiev regime doesn't know that Donbass people were not very happy about hosting Euro-2012 and that they prefer Yulia Chicherina's music to Beyonce's one.
The Ukrainians who live in the Donbas might disagree with you. The Russians who live there would agree. The Ukrainians outnumber Russians about 55 : 40 in the Donbas. That was before the war that figure may have changed substantially since.
@@TimMountjoy-zy2fdin 2010 there were multiple Surveys in the Donbas and it was discovered that most people in Donbas were pro Russian and had dissatisfaction for the Kiev regime because of the closing down of MANY factories leading to unemployment. Also not to mention the Donbas was also experiencing high levels of poverty compared to any other regions in Ukraine. And also Russian was by far the majority spoken language.
@@TimMountjoy-zy2fd Hello from Lugansk itself. First of all, distinguishing between Russian and Ukrainian is near impossible task. Language, culture, religion, DNA, none of them can show a difference. Secondly, asking locals about it is considered rude because we're all highly mixed and have relatives on "both sides". Even pre-ATO, giving a binary choice of Russian/Ukrainian would be considered as an attempt to separate the two and confront them with each other, which is unnatural in these parts. Third, if you ever visited, you could notice that there's barely a border between Lugansk and Russia. We commonly crossed it back and forth just to abuse economy differences and get stuff for cheap. Same goes for families. We have relatives right across the border, so it wasn't a rare thing to spend a weekend "abroad" celebrating grandma's birthday. With such deep connections and no Ru/Ua distinguishment you might see how Kiev's ATO was easily felt across the border. My mother has roots here while my father's blood runs back to western Ukraine (Chernovtsy). We had no troubles with western Ukraine nor Ukrainians (until 2014 insanity of course), so if asked for a survey back then I would proudly say I'm Ukrainian. After all, I was born and raised here. I still consider myself Ukrainian regardless of passport, but at the same time, I now clearly emphasize that I don't have any connection to modern Kiev and what Ukraine turned into. TL;DR Being Ukrainian doesn't automatically mean you supported Maidan, government overthrow or ATO.

After 10 years; away from the grasp of the mismanagement, of the current Maidan Ukrainian government... The greatest contrast that one would notice; between a regular Ukrainian almost frontline city and a Russian almost frontline city... Is those regular adult age male citizens; being able to walk around Lugansk, without being afraid of getting kidnapped, by a gang of compulsory military recruitment officers. And that puts the current city of Lugansk, on the map of civilized cities of the world. Meaning that, the worst for the city of Lugansk; as already passed. And also, that when the current Russo-Ukrano military conflict ends; the Russian State, should try to tackle unemployment; also by implementing at least 50% of those pretty, but expensive building projects; for that same city of Western Russia.

Hello from Italy. After Mariupol, it's so heartwarming to see how the new Russian cities are renovating one after another and at such a fast pace. Better than our cities!
And no mass migration. A place that is proud of its culture and people rather than actively working to replace them with a totally different and incompatible culture.
The Kursk region must be retaken back by Ukraine to protect the local Ukrainians. Sakhalin must be retaken by Japan to protect the local Japanese. Karelia must be retaken back by Finland to protect the local Finns. Also Kaliningrad, Circassia, Chechnya, Vladivostok etc. Stop the double standards!!!
It was a great idea to come to Luhansk, and it also confirms for me a contradictory thought: the city was very lucky to escape the enormous destruction of the war, which affected Marioupol, but the consequence is that it has been somewhat forgotten in terms of its economic development - which is logical because the first priority is reconstruction. In the end, your visit goes some way to making up for this oversight. Well done! Amitiés de France !

Lugansk looks like a City being reborn, thanks to the investment coming in from Russia. It is very sad to see Russia and Ukraine in a state of conflict however, the Russians were ( in my opinion ) too trusting of the Western installed Kyiv regime that had no intention of going along with the Minsk agreement which, we now know was to stall the Russians into thinking that the Russian speaking parts of Ukraine ( Oblast’s ), would be self governing, use the Russian language as their everyday language , inside a non NATO / Western Ukraine. I know that the Russian speaking east and South of Ukraine is Russian speaking as this land was given to Ukraine in the days of Russian Empire and then in the CCCP days and, that it is clear these want to return home to Mother Russia due to them not wanting to remain under the control of Azov and Bandera , groups that hate everything Russian . I am expecting that Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk , and Odessa will again be a part of Russia as Ukraine is going to be split up between : Poland, Hungary, Romania leaving just a small part of what the Ukraine was a few years ago. The Russian military has almost destroyed the Army of Ukraine the West has funded for the past ten years and it will only take another 2 years for Ukraine to hand back to Russia these traditionally Russian territories that no longer wish to be a part of Ukraine . The Russian Gov’t has recently offered new Russian citizenship to all western good , honest people who can provide good references as the Russians know there are lots of westerner’s who want to get away from Woke, transgender, Homosexual marriage ( WTF …..Blyat !) degeneracy , and that Russia is looking for good skilled people and those who are retired with their own money , to come and live in Russia and i think this is what i am going to do. I would like to go to live in Crimea or Zhdanov or maybe Melitopol as there will be good jobs for skilled people there in the next 20 years . Thanks for sharing ,……Slava Great Mother Russia 🇷🇺😉

@@TimMountjoy-zy2fd Russian and Ukrainians have co-existed with each other since antiquity! From Dnieper to the East
Happy to see Lugansk comes back to Russia

Красивый город, я рад что все идет к лучшему в Новороссии.
