Currently have an S6 with a similar board to yours that won't start. But I have 3.9 volts where you didn't. So I need to carry on further. Too bad yours was an easy one this time. I'll have a look through your channel and hope to find something more that might help me!

Hello, what kind of spray do you use to check the hot spots? What brand?
Hey Mark, wondered if you could help at all please. S6, Wont boot, 400mA draw before prompt to boot and no change after. PMIC getting warm but not excessively. Freeze spray doesn't help as no components appear to be getting excessively hot. Tested motherboard on known good device and same. What would you suggest? Thanks.

Great video. Thanks for the info. From a guy who has watched a lot of amateur repair (and other) videos, I recommend attempting to be more aware of where your mouth is in relation to the mic. Even though you've equalized the clipping and extreme volume changes a bit in post, it's still annoying af. It makes me want to find another video with the same info, instead of yours. Hopefully, you've already improved that, I know this is an old video. If so, cheers.
I have a Samsung su edge and I put it in the water, I cleaned it and it went off again in about 30 minutes, now it heats up too much Max 77843 on the charger, can you give me some advice, and thank you very much, you are great

how about no fast charging and OTG not recognized even my computer doesn`t recognize my s6? i search some website they remove the 2 diode and the fast charging is back
Filter capacitor short..I think
i have a s6 edge+ no power, i replaced both power ic's and still nothing i get around 3.6v around both areas and nothing seems short. when connecting dc power to vbat line and touch the power pins the it draws current but dies as soon as i let go of the pins

Juan Issa I'm not sure where that shake is coming from. I use a double boom arm, I can't stand that articulating one.

Vcc main short or vbatt short?
VCC, if were Vbatt, get the short at first time, when sold the wire to the battery connector, instead resold in any VCC line point (at least for that models)

sir . my s6 edge only turn on usb. it only show battry 100% and sometimes it boot normally(on usb only accept 5v 1A charger) . when I unplug the usb it just turn off. what could it be?

You know, if it doesn't have touch, but the device supports USB-OTG, you can always connect a USB mouse.
Bro. my s6 edge plus charging when I plugged in Computer but not connecting to PC
try new drivers for the phone and restart on the pc when there done installing
few things can cause this
1. you're using a power only cable and not a power/data cable
2. you've not allowed read/write access to the pc via the phone.
3. faulty cable
4. faulty micro usb port on phone
My s6 only stays on with wen char in tried new Battery still no power

Im lost this is why you need the girl there. She would ecplain what you removed and why the phones wad able to boot without it. I imagine it was a cap to gnd?
How are you lost? Most capacitors have one side going to ground. When a capacitor fails, it will not "store" the power, but instead just allow the current to flow through, thus creating a "short" to ground and grounding out the entire line to which it's connected. The heat indicates a cap that is dumping current to ground, which we can see when the freeze spray melts away after feeding the board power. Remove that and the main power line (or whichever line is shorted to ground that the cap is on) is no longer shorted to ground, and the phone boots. Mark figures this stuff out by comparing known-good boards to ones with issues and notating the differences. Jessa wouldn't have been able to tell us what capacitor that was or provide any additional insight, because there's very, very little information on Samsungs. Even finding schematics is difficult, much less boardviews.
