physical differences between java and zebra finches :-
height of java finch is 12 to 14 cm.
height of zebra finches is 10 to 11 cm.
weight of java finches is 25g.
weight of zebra finches is 12g.
lifespan of java finch is 10 to 15 years.
lifespan of zebra finches is 4 to 7 years.
gender identification of Java finch :-
1. the male bird has dark black Shade In the head the female bird has less black shade.
2. the male Java Finch has bright red colour eye ring whereas the female Java Finch has dull red colour eye ring.

1. the colour of male java finch beak is red colour whereas the female female has the colour orange.

both the finches start their breeding in 4 to 6 months but we have to breed in 8 months, it is good for the finches.
we can use budgies pot or a plastic box for zebra finches breeding but we have to use breeding box for Java finches breeding. we can use the African lovebirds pot size for Java finches breeding. Java Finch need large pot size than the zebra finch because Java finches are larger than the zebra finches.
cage size for Java Finch should be 2×1×1 feet.
cage size for zebra finch should be 1.5×1×1 feet.
if you can provide large space for birds, you can buy Java finches. normally Birds need more privacy for breeding in Java finches it needs more and more privacy for breeding than zebra finches. if you are a beginner, you can buy a Zebra finches and then you can get experience and learn, then you can buy the Java finches. if you want to grow Birds for your passion, you can buy zebra finches. if you are a professional and then need money by breeding Birds you can buy Java finches.
the price of zebra finches pad is rupees 300 to 500 whereas the price of Java finches is rupees 1200 and more than it.
similarities in the both birds are :-
1. we should not close the top of the pot when both the birds are in breeding.
2. the finches need nesting material for breeding we can provide the nesting material like coconut hair and so on.
3. if you are buying but please choose the semi adult bird because it easily adapt to the surroundings.

after mating this Birds lay eggs in 7 to 10 days. normally the finches lay 4 to 8 eggs.
the incubation time for the finches is 12 to 16 days.
