This game has been updated with ton of CPU optimisations that made the CPU specific tasks run 2x faster. It did come at a cost though. The game now requires 10gb of unified memory. Check your activity monitor with this game running. It will use 8-9gb of ram causing the system to use swap memory on the ssd. Basically you dont have enough ram

Would you be able to try this at 720p low/mid and or 1080p low/mid with frame rate counter showing?
Maybe better to use Nvidia Now than buying a better version with 16Gb…it probably still will be almost unplayable like in this video.
