I feel the same! I sat out last year because I just didn’t like the experience from the year before. I loved the trip to Vegas that year but the edc experience was not like years before. My group had to deal with rude people the entire weekend. Very different than in 2017. I’m going this year because edc has my heart and maybe that year was an off year hopefully. So sad you won’t be there but have fun at lightning in a bottle girl ❤

Totally respect where you’re at. This is the first time not going since 2018 (minus 2021) and I’m bummed about it but I also don’t feel like I’m missing out if that makes sense. EDC will always be my go to for so many reasons but it’s definitely gotten so much bigger than my first time and that is a little overwhelming. Love this for you, hope you get that helicopter ride, and thank you for giving out tips always!!

Love the shirt!! I used to want to go to EDC, but I think it’s just too big and overwhelming of a fest for me. Just thinking about the amount of people there gives me anxiety 😂 there’s plenty of fests to choose from now days and I prefer camping fests for sure. Hope you have fun at LIB and can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it!

This is EDC year 9 for me (first year RV camping!) and looking forward to this year! And super excited for EDC number 10 next year!
The crowed is really up to your own vibes. Its pretty easy to find a group of people you vibe with no matter what stage you go to and its even easier to move away from a group your not vibin with. This can also be applied to the crowed being super packed, maybe its something you learn after years of raving a lot, but I have only found a few stages (during 9 years) at EDC that have been super packed. For example, someone in the comments said they tried to see Kx5 in 2022, I was there at that stage, the back, front and both sides where insanely packed (especially before the set started) but there was huge spaces right in the middle/middle front of circuit grounds.

Only thing I'll say about when to leave to go to the festival each day - there is a HUGE difference between 1st day and the rest, every day it went way faster getting there but the 1st day is always mayhem!

I will say 2023 felt wayyyy less crowded than 2022 in our experience, but probably because people were so traumatized from 2022! 😅 nothing will beat 2021 one though! That was our first EDC and that experience is what keeps us going back (and every year of course). Certainly curious to see how the crowd control will be this year!

2021 was beast
I also went 2019, 2021 and 2022 and had the exact same experience. 2019 was the best cuz it was my first, 21 was great cuz less people and 2022 was HORRIBLE I felt so anxious the bathrooms were HORRIFIC omg. It was such a bad experience I’d never go back now because of it :(
This is a valid reason to not wanna go. You do need a lot of planning and vip is totally worth it!! This is gonna be my second vip and I. So excited ❤

2023 was my first EDC Las Vegas and I also didn't really enjoy it because of how crowded it was. The first day it took me 5 hours to get inside, I was already spent by the time I made it in. I also paid for VIP, and only ended up going like 1.5 days because of how terrible the experience was.

This is the exact way I feel about Electric forest. Hasn't been the same since covid. It's to overcrowded, so much dust, has had nasty weather, and accompanied by poor production 😢

I dunno yall! I think the whole world changed. I also feel like we should be less critical. Not every experience needs to be "a review" or comparing to experiences from the past that other can't access (a little gatekeepy?? A lil' "back in my day") - Go into these experiences with an open mind, and knowing it will be unlike any before. There is joy and wonder if allow it in. (And there is something too about experiencing a festival multiple times and expecting the same glow as your first time; reminiscent of a dangerous expectation people have of their friend Molly) .
Every day is new. Life is unexpected.
Every time you experience (a festival, a concert at your favorite venue, a restaurant, hell anything) it. will. be. different.
I just wish instead of comments like these (online and within Rave Fams) there was SOME hope in them.
Like, "This is what I'm excited for in the festival season" "Here is my intention for this festival I've been to 6 times" "Here is how I plan to be a positive energy which will hopefully impact newcomers for the better" "I can't wait to give _____ this year" "If you're a (bass, house, whatever!) fan, you might love the vibes at ("this other festival" - make it a productive comment that might shine light on a festival you feel might be great for you or people with similar musical / aesthetic interests)"

It kinda feels like when people say this stuff, it translates to "Don't waste your money noobs, you missed out" or "Oh you actually liked EF 2023 / EDC 20XX? YOU'RE WRONG" or "You missed your opportunity to be in community here"
I think any experience has the opportunity to be life changing, and comments like this shape and shade peoples' hype for Legendary Experiences.
And when these comments come up around me, I KNOW it's time for a side quest in order to get more-than-an-arms-length away from negative sentiment and to skirt-skirt that narrative :D

Sure. The experience IS different. But that's the universe and life we live.
But in that same breath, how different was your perception, your mindset, and the Million variables that shaped your experience.
Expect perfection and you will always be disappointed.
The reason I'm taking a break from EDC after this year..............is because Insomniac's lineups have gotten increasingly gentrified and interchangeable in recent years and further reflected by Insomniac Records exploding into prominence over the course of these past several years: resulting in rather predictable, recycled lineups outside of the art cars because of Insomniac Records signees being staple acts at every one of their festivals and other established, tried-and-true names being mainstays in their own right every year.
I'll always LOVE EDC and will definitely be back sometime after this year................but I'm just looking to spread my horizons and to give new names a try and expose myself to more of what's out there instead of the usual Tiesto this, Kaskade that, John Summit this, Matroda that, etc.

@@vibewithade And it's obviously meant as no disrespect to any of those acts! 🙂 It's obviously not their fault they're recycled on every Insomniac lineup and, even so, they got where they are today via hard work and dedication. 🙂 Nonetheless, I'm a dopamine seeker and after one too many recycled Insomniac lineups, the freshness and novelty starts to dissipate and there's just simply more to life than just EDC as a festival-goer. 🙂
No disrespect but if you’re spending you time just at one or two stages. That maybe your problem. I literally explore the whole venue. And if you really want to see someone’s set and you’re not feeling it, leave, go check out another set. EDC is more than just music. Get on some rides, check out a show, get involved with something. Been going since 2016 and every year has been memorable, wasn’t going to go this year but damn the lineup, the new layout and I have to go.
I love your Vlog on why you won't be at EDC because yea it can be overcrowded and the planning of it can be too much. But I know some people don't feel like going anymore to EDC or other music festivals because if they are not young anymore, have kids, married, not single anymore that you can do whatever you want, don't feel the compassion anymore, money spending or maybe the landscape of EDM mainstream has changed it wasn't like before when it was back then with the music. Also it can be the same seeing the same old DJs performing their sets with no change on their setlist music veterans like Tiesto, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, etc. I just subscribed to your channel because I love the name of your channel Vibe With Ade😎. Good vibes is my favorite word because whatever I love I called it My Vibes and whoever doesn't like it just don't kill My Vibes.
Funny you say that about being crowded in 2022. We went 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023 and I have to say, 2023 wasn't really enjoyable because it was way too crowded. So because of that we have decided to pass on this year's EDC. We will certainly miss it, and it's a magical time, but we'll see how bad it is this year from the feedback given after the festival.

I used to love going to festivals. When tomorrow world was a thing it was a blast but as EDM started becoming mainstream I could feel the passion for the scene going away and it just becoming an event where kids could be in Halloween costumes and act a fool . But I come from when EDM was just Techno and raves were totally different from what you call a rave now .

EDCLV is crowded for sure, but the only two times I’ve felt really overcrowded, like this is too much I’m out, overcrowded was during Kx5 and San Holo in 2022. There were a lot of bottlenecks last year that may have seemed overcrowded for a bit but nothing too crazy imo. I’m looking forward to the changes in the layout this year to see if it helps with that.
